has added a new journalJust a page from my life ... Fri, 09 Dec 2005!
Even after supplying my blood sample to Amazonian bugs and mosquitoes in the sweaty humid jungles ... getting sun-burnt and breathing the thin air while climbing altitudes of 14,000 feet, loosing about 5 lbs during the process :) ... with Vitamin I (commonly known as Ibuprofen!), mosquito net/repellant, Neosporin and flashlight being my best friends ... I STILL had an awesome experience during my recent adventure trip to South America!!! Had a chance to visit the imperial Inca city of Cusco, the Andean mountains, the cloud forest etc. and trekked five days through the "Inca Trail" to the Amazing ancient city of Machu Picchu in Peru! The icing on the cake was the Amazon rain forest jungle experience (Brazil and Peru) where a black Spider Monkey named "Wally" received us at the jungle lodge! I wish I had a voice recorder to share the music of the jungle as various birds and animals talked and sang throughout!
Also fished some Piranhas (nasty razor teeth ... biting even outside water), canoed through Anaconda waters in Oxbow lakes, spent some time with giant Amazonian blue butterflies and jungle Macaws, went for Cayman (Alligator family) night spotting and saw some rodents almost the size of a dog (up to 120 lb Rat!) ... all this while eating fresh fruits directly from the trees (It was Mango/Summer season down South!) I have about 950+ high res. digital pictures, if any body is interested I can burn picture CDs and mail them.
Those of you who like adventure and nature (no TV, internet, world-news, cell-phone/pager or electricity during most of my time down South!), I hope and pray that some of you who enjoy good health, esp. those who are single or happily married with no kids (or with kids old enough ;) ) will at least make an attempt to visit some of the exotic locations that Nature has to offer! (instead of just visiting selected cities in Europe during your international vacations)
Fun is over, I am back to reality and on-call duties :(

has added a new journalI am online rarely enough. Anytime I see myself as the most active member in a village, (or so its been thus far,) I know that its time to leave the village, because it means that everyone else in the village is less active than my own inactive self..
So it is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to the great members of this village, and to the kewl conversations I've shared, of which I remember Challoyaar and Sam77 most fondly.
Have fun peeps.. and thank for helping me keep my villages under 20!

Well I wanna know what you felt. (Or saw or experienced at the Ka'aba.) I wish we had rampant telepathy so that I could know what you are referring to. But should I already? I mean, have you written about it somewhere?Login to find out
