*sigh* i know the feeling, nutty professor. while we all enjoy our java, there are things that keep us up at night and won't seem to stop making things twirl in our heads. for me, often times it's about work, but yes....thoughts about people who we thought we knew, but really don't also occupy my headspace. and it's this stuff that keeps you up longer and more wide awake then any coffee blend out there.it sounds as though you have come across some rather surprising information and are trying to process it. this is painful. betrayal? this is infinitely painful. my heart goes out to you, friend.

has added a new journalGood Morning,
New to this village and thought I'd say HELLO to my fellow caffeine lovers. It's 3.04am EST and as predicted, am up and wide awake care of chain drinking diet cokes.
For Canadians, coffee is an essential beverage and we drink it continuously throughout the day. There are some who theorize that this is because we live in a cold environment. Perhaps. I do know that my consumption of coffee is unchanged despite the weather outside.
Has anyone tried Tim Horton's coffee? This franchise is truly Canadian and a national favourite. I know that there is one in Philly...not sure to what extent Tim's has reached our friends south of the border.
Any sightings of Tim Horton's in your neighbourhoods?

i'm glad to see you're from NYC! i go there from time to time for work and am lost is terms of finding a good place for a cuppa.i know starbucks is everywhere, but unless i douse it with caramel, milk, and other condiments, it's too bitter for my taste.
a regular cup of plain coffee seems to be so elusive....

has added a new journalAhhh? the savor aroma of the ground coffee bean, a gratuitously guilty pleasure! So wonderful in its flavor and texture it truly must be a sin! The bliss ensues my daily secret five am encounter with the delectable coffee pot (whom I refer to as ?non-gender-specific Coffee? rather than ?Mr. Coffee?) can soften the hardest of souls, make the intolerable tolerable, make diamonds malleable and best of all put a satisfied smile on the consumer?s face.
It is the little things that make this life more livable and that caffeinated confection that cajoles me out of the most captivating of dreams is one of my little things, my little good things.
Hi I?m new to the naseeb thingy and new to this group/village, the fact that this even exists is disturbing on some level but as an ex-subscriber to Java Magazine I?m glad that there is health obsession with the perfect cup of coffee and happy to join? kudos to all you overly caffeinated people? I salute you!!!
