Many guys or most guys it seems have the perception that they always have a lot of options. But girls don't usually don't think like that.

I wanted to post a new topic for guys who think they are ready for marriage when they're really not. Some guys think they may be ready ans talk about marriage or start to look for rishtas b/c their parents or mom want them to but it isn't later when they actually have to deal with the situation that they realize they are not ready.

Better sooner than later for sure.

But basically it seems there is a lot of that going around.

Hey,

Re: Masked_stranger....

......*Wave Magic Wand*.....there....You're Enlightened.....there....and here's some more....

Well...basically guys should only get married when they're ready...and that definitely goes for all the gals out there as well.....think it through thrice and keep thinking.

Mochaman, no pressure for you. 20 years old and still counting...no pressure!!

yea well I'm a 20 year old guy myself, and I have to agree with what you're saying. There are benefits to it obviously, but then again too many peeps who have some novel romantic idea about it without seeing the disagreement, compromise, and patience needed for it. It's one thing to hang out with somebody and have fun like a girlfriend, but living together and taking care of them 24-7 is totally different!!!!!

Hey folks,
Got a qustion for you.
Ladies would you ask a guy out, and how would you approach him? How do you let a guy know that your interested in something more?

Guys how subtle are women, what is a good way to make a guy notice?

Shouldn't guys be the one to ask a girl out, isn't it more a mens role?

Hey,

I would...but if you really like someone...it becomes harder.

Not like I've done it before...because I haven't.

But I would for the right person...if I'm friendly and nice enough to ask them out they should be friendly enough to not think I'm weird.

But in general I think guys shouldn't be afraid to approach girls. Girls like it! there.

Probably not, I'm too old school to do that, it would be awkward.

Men in my opinion feel as though they can date who ever they wnt, but do not have to face the reprucussions in the long run, because for them, the girl in question is already spoiled goods. Besides the fact that she is already emotionally involved with him is better for him , because she will understand. B.s...Men supposedly want to make their mothers happy (which is a good thing) by going back home and marrying the virginal REF... because they know she's PURe. What I don't get is if they can go out with a girl whose muslim already, and they have been seeing each other for quite some time, why do they want to go back. Aren't girls from abroad good enough?

I didn't mean to sound like I was generalizing, yet reading back I know thats how I came across, firstly, when I say VIRGINAL REFS, I don't mean the term literally, I mean that guys and girls that I know have this perception that even our parents tend to give is that if you marry back home than the person your marrying is better than some girl (ex.) in Canada, U.S or wherever. I cguess it was my way to be mean. But the trut is I've live in Pakistan for 2 yrs, and The stuff that I saw go on in my school was like stepping into the twilight zone. I was surprised not by the fact that these people do it(fool around) undercover, but they did it to this extent at all. Before I went their parents were akways like, pakistan this and that. HEll at times I think their worst than us. (It depends on how you Decipher that). I know many guys who'd marry a girl from here but the set back is if she's not a virgin they go elsewhere, what I don't understand is why they do it....ughhhhhh, but Maria84 you do make a valid point....

I totally agree with the fact that most men in our society like having their cake, eating it too, and when they're finished with their cake, and have reduced it to crumbs, they head off to the motherland for a permanent supply of ladoo! But i must say, not all men are like this, i know a number of guys who would much rather marry a girl who they can relate to, and who has grown-up with a similar upbringing.
Also, I think it?s interesting that you refer to the girls in Pakistan as "Virginal REFS". First-off, I dont think we should hate on them, I mean, they're just doing what is a normal, traditional custom in their society. But have you been to Pakistan lately?! I dont mean to sound cynical, but there are girls there that are FAR from virginal and pure.
Let's face it, making the decision to have sex before marriage is no longer one that girls and guys in North America are making, it is a similar situation in Pakistan, it?s just that it?s nowhere near as accepted and talked about.
I believe that staying "virginal" no longer has anything to do with your geographical location, but more so, who you are, and what your own personal beliefs may be.
I can personally say, that the decision I made, to not have sex before i get married is something I KNOW i want to do, it wasnt made for me, and i havent been brainwashed into believing it. I have nothing against people who do not feel the same way, if thats what they KNOW they want to do, then more power to them. I have just found that, at least in the female community, this decision is a divisor, and i find that stupid, we're all on the same team, lets "make love, not war!" (Pun intended.)
