We are looking to build an international network of affiliated companies representing our products. We already have our products on a Channel in the Middle East and are in the process of making agreements with other channels around the world. We want to create a network of channels with high quality childrens programming broadcasting our products, that promote good morals and values with educational content. It?s the biggest Islamic cultural event in Europe, and is trying to promote dialogue and understanding of Islam to the western world. It gives Muslims and non Muslims a chance to discover MORE about Islam and its rich and diverse history.
There will be discussions and forums on how to bring Islamic investment to London, as well as companies from all over the world that already cater to Muslims.
Considering that one fifth of the worlds population is Muslim ? it?s a big market to ignore!

"Ulfah" is the Arabic word for "harmony", and as such, is one of the islamic qualities that forms the basis of Ulfah's work (taken from their website).

Ulfah Arts - Spoken Word
Biography:
An emerging arts organisation led by Naz Koser, The Ulfah Collective is a group of women from different backgrounds, (predominantly practising Muslims) whose performances include storytelling, poetry, singing and drumming. Their current show "The Journey To The Great Mosaic", launched in Edinburgh and is now touring the UK.
Project Summary:
Ulfah Arts presents a new work in progress "Poem of the Cloak" or Qasidah Burdah by Imam Sharafuddin Muhammad Al-Busairi (1212 C.E - 1296 C.E)
A masterpiece of Arabic literature, for centuries influencing the relationship of the Muslim world with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), The Burdah (Poem of the Cloak) is sung everywhere from Morocco to Malaysia. This performance is a rare celebration of women's relationship to this unique poem.
2nd June 2006, 12.30pm
This is a women's only preformance
