has added a new journalRecently i went to the fun fare held by the IIS Riyadh, It took place at the end of last month. I attended it like after 5 years!!!...Its the only event to reunite with old friends and teachers... Its really not fair that our school doesn't organize a reunion! I would sooo love to meet old teachers, classmates, my seniors and juniors!! I know, a lot of us have returned back to saudi arabia after graduation, for vacation, for work, but can't get in contact with anyone coz of lack of communication....I thought of going to the school and meeting up with my teachers...but backed up when i heard about the rude behaviour of Mrs Jaffrey ( the headmistress...she STILL wears a rose on her bun and that friggin red lipstick which always sticks to her front teeth! ). The first question she asks an ex-student when she visits the school is, 'why are you here? when are u leaving the school?' Can you believe that?!
Do we deserve such a behaviour from our own headmistress???
Anyway, so the funfare is the only way to re-unite with ppl and that too accidentally, if ur lucky! I saw few of the old teachers like Mrs. Salim Ara, Mrs Arzina Akhtar, Mr Baby John, Mr Refai...It took place in the boy's section, as usual. The ground was filled with the newer generations....almost felt like a stranger there. Thank God my friend was there with me!
Ok, that's all i wanted to say...I really liked my school and really miss the good ol' days!
Take care all of you!
PS: Its really not fare i can't read any of the journals written by the other members of this village 'coz i'm not a premium member!!! Naseeb has got too commercial too quickly!!
And THANKS a lot to Amer Mirza for inviting me to this village!

has added a new journalTo all the alumni's out there... these schools n most of teachers presently r interested in making money by taking tuitions rather dan teaching in d classes ( i'm not saying all, but atleast 90%)... if u take tuition 4m a particular teacher u r in his/her good books, otherwise.... c'mon guys, wen i studied here, tuitions wer banned...teachers wud put in der energy in the class teaching n getting d best out of their students... they wer well-qualified n suited their posts..now ne tom-dick n harry is in as a teacher...just a B.Ed degree won't do ( most of them have a fake one).. aptitude for teaching must also b present... ne thing v can do, 2 help dis generation of students??? coz as dey say , " 1 bad teacher spoils atleast 10 generation of students"

thnx 4 hearin me amer. i guess maths teachers r d worst. 1 of my bro's maths teacher who tuited him in 10th grade made sure dat he got gud marks in d home exams..by purposely makin him practise those q's wich wer der in d paper.. so v took it 4 granted dat my bro must b doin well bt d reality was sumthin else..his 10th grade results wud've been better had dis teacher been more strict n taught or even tuited properly. so i guess v agree dat tuitions must b banned , atleast by d school teachers?.. wat can b done 2 improve?..it feels bad 2 c my once beloved school in such a horrible messamermirza
I hear u. When I was going to IIS, the math teacher "Anniruddhan" always told my dad that there is a very minor chance that I will pass this grade/class. He gave my dad confidence that I have a chance of passing the class if I got additional mentoring and then that fuc*er offered to provide me tuition. My dad fell for it and he made me clean his room when I went for tuition. He gave me additional tutoring but I didnt think I learned Shi* from him. That was the scam. I passed the final exams with good grades but on purpose he graded our quizzes/tests hard.Login to find out
