100 Years Later..

In 1905, Einstein wrote 4 papers which revolutionized physics. He revolutionized astronomy, cosmology, molecular motion and launched quantum mechanics. Not bad for a bored patent clerk in Switzerland.

very cool - i think i'd b proud to understand that even if i wasnt a senior in high school! :)

not to completely digress from the topic at hand - but - i'm taking this masters course called "philosophy of science and technology" and in it there's tons of einstein vs. newtonian phsyics - especially in reference to the opposing light theories and how that sort of re-vamped a few concepts in physics...is this an accurate picture? i havent had much background in the history/systems of physics, but from my readings, this is what i gathered...

on a side note - this leads most philosophers of science to believe that science has a ways to go before we can get some philosophical foundations in place...it's now just been 100 years and that isn't that far along enough for things to b on the level of philosophy - anyhow i'm beginning to digress...my true comments are the simple questions above :)
