2006 lexus IS
hey what do u guys think of the soon to come 2006 lexus IS. at least in pictures it looks pretty sweet. i think it's gonna do really well agaisnt the bmw 3 series.
nice car, but only as long as it has the larger wheels and low-profile tires... they may come on the IS350 as part of a sport pkg or something. without them, it looks like a toyota.
i test drove the is250 and 350...super nice car. very nice appearance, very luxurious inside...the 250 is fast, but the 350 is a rocket. zero to sixty in 5 point 3 seconds!
umm, i'd have to disagree here. I think the styling is bland beyond comprehension. I couldn't tell that thing apart from a solara. very little character. basically, one of those cars that might pass you and you don't really bother looking twice. at least that's my opinion.
looks nice, especially inside... but the standard wheels and tires seem too small for the new body. it looks a bit bulky and hefty around the rear, rather than sleek. i haven't seen one in person though, my judgment is based on pics i've seen.
I guess the compact, premium/entry-level lux. sports sedan group encompasses: BMW 3-series, MB C-class, Audi A4, Jaguar X-Type, Cadillac CTV, Acura TSX, Infiniti G35, and the forthcoming Lexus IS.
Other than the A4 or IS, nothing strikes my fancy in that market segment!
Granted, it looks nice and sweet, and it might come with a V-8. It'll def give BMW competition, but the Beemer will prolly come out the winner. A fairer comparison would be with the Infiniti G35, well, until Infiniti redesigns their baby...
