2nd Annual Egyptian American Conference


Hey everyone- just wanted to let you guys know about the 2nd annual Egyptian American Alliance of Youth Conference to be held in Washington, DC...

The dates will be March 17-19, 2006. Last year there were about 140 attendees and it was very professional, but also a lot of fun and a great opportunity to network.

Its open to anyone, Egyptian or not, and of any age... and any religion.

We've confirmed Comedian Ahmed Ahmed, so it should be a great time... he was on Punk'd on MTV and has been in some movies...

Last year there were panels on Egypt's politics, sessions on cultural identity, stuff about issues in the community... there was a good session on women's issues in the egyptian community... there was a great media session too...

Its very professionally run conference... last year there were about 140 people... the Egyptian Ambassador attended as well. There was the serious stuff, then also the fun stuff... so a good balance.
