T3mah just to update u on something that is obsecure in the News.
Russia, ad china, are trying to put the foundation for an alliance that will compete with the economic and militaristic dominance of the US in Central Asia. Iran was invited to attend such an upcoming conference to discuss joining such alliance, Now even that would be in the air because of the ill timed comments by Mr. Najad. He probably cost his country so many opportunities on the economic level.

I have friends that went to Iran few months ago, and woithout a doubt they had all the same impression that that country needs alot, and there comparision was not with the US they compared it to Dubai.

yeah, one of the goverments main priorities is to pretect its people and transform their needs and wants into reality. The best example I can think of is when Turkey said No to the U.S. when they wanted to use Turkish land for their troops while invading Iraq.

Now Turkey is leading successful yet tough negotiations to be part of the EU not threatened to be kicked out from the UN like Iran is facing right now. Two nations one reality and different future.

Great point T3mah, which makes me bring the issue of responsibility of the governments such as Iran towards the well being of their people. Does anybody feel like me that the Government there are being irresponsible for its constituinties? Even dictator like Qathafi Sar 3induh Duum and changed his rethoric because he discovered that Slogans doesn't work when not all the people that say it, believe in it or do it.

This issue is just not about Iran, this issue is in most countries of the world but with differing conditions and circumstances

Ammoori great point but this "war" isn't just about capitalists and monachies of the middleeast. There are 75 million in Iran who don't want to die yet have a power to say what they want. I jsut hope that they wont turn like the rest of the puppets keep persistent agaisnt the EVIL powers.

T3mah, although Iran tries to diversify its oil market and the companies its sell to, but its scaring her buyers also right now with its rethoric and possible stability. As long they sell oil to finance all their other industries inculding the nuclear, then they are dependened on their oil revenue. Iraq had the same theory of that the world cannot handle the distrubtion of Iraqi oil (and I guess) as we saw that countries like saudi and whoever were happy to increase their out put. Don't underestamte the evil of the capitalist, and the monarchies of the middleeast.

I see your point Ammorri! We don't want what happend in Iraq to happen to Syria or Iran. However, Iran is not depended on the west! I think the combination of their nuclear plans and this last statement opened the can of worms.

All it takes bro and sis, is Sanctions. All the negatives of a poltical system, and awful infra-structure would be exposed. Stupid rethoric from an Iranian ignorant individual might destroy the lifes of 75 Million Iranian. I understand the complaining about double standards, but reailty is if a muslim stand up like a man should when they are too depended on the west,they will be crushed. This issue isn't about bravado and supporting palastine. This issue is about not giving excuses for the powerfull to destroy the weak.

Yarah, you read me right, my fist comment was intended to be cynical! But at the same time do we really think that Iran is a threat to Israel, and how? If so then EU can have justified reasons for siding against Iran as no one wants a nuclear war! How about when "poor" Israeli?s start crying to the security council about Iran. I mean look at the reaction from ALL the European leaders to Mr. Najad?s statements

Now,what did he gain with what he said???he just gave the Israelis something extra to justify what they are doing and are going to do.

It's right that he said what other presidents don't even dare to think of in our region,but I think we should get over helping Israel in its propaganda that Arabs and muslims want to throw all the jews in the sea.
I'm not agreeing with SS in most of what he said but I always wonder why can't our region's leaders learn that ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

Wel I guess Mr. Najad is the Bush version In Iran, unfortunatly for him he will destroy his country and people in the process and gain nothing.
Didn't Saddam say the same thing in 1989!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Am7i nuss Israel). Look what that did to his people.
