A Change for Muslim Non-profits?

I have been away for naseeb for some time working within different NGO's. I have recently been hired by a Muslim one as a consultant to help them run their operations to higher standards and build a foundation for the organization that is based off off structure and not personalities.

A very shocking request from a Muslim organization, but very hopeful.

hopeful but hesitent as a Muslim organization might have some who want all this structural work done, but in the end they won't implement it or use it, so in an essence it goes to waste. Yet for me I shouldn't be an issue as long as I get paid to do the work.

Still I don't know why but for me it is hard especially for Muslim organizations that you deeply believe in the message to leave to their own hanging out to dry, wa allah alim

As we all know Muslim NGOs have problems but the reality of the mater is all NGO's have their problems and the key is recognizing challenges and working through them. Another key is communication and understanding how different people communicate and how to communicate with them.

We can't change everyone but we can make it easier by putting the extra effort to give our community another chance.

As a NGO professional I went running from Muslim organizations at one time to Non-Muslim organizatioins because of all the crazy things that Muslims do (which I will not go into but I know that ya'll know what I mean)

Still now I can see the time is changing we are moving towards begining to climb the mountian of challenges that are in our path and i see hope. We can move mountains if we want too.

It will be hard but in the end if we stick to it and do not let drama overcome us it will be a fruitful journey that will go beyond our years.

What do you think? How is it in your community?
Do you see the change? Do you see the hope in the Muslim organizations in your area?
