Using sexuality to supress anti-government protesters?
Sexual abuse as a tool of repression/oppression.
Different from US using sexuality to crush the wills of thier prisoners?
Common enough throughout the world.
From female circumcisions, rape a sister to bring justice for a brothers crimes, a rapists marriage of his victem to "spare her honor", the concepts of ownership of ones wife, the transfer of a wife, as property, from deceased to living relatives, the ritual cleansing through sex after a divorce, the "Moral Police" in various forms who seem preoccupied with women's dress, make-up and public life, foot binding, sex-symbols, exploitation, even in the "advanced" world where women are more often adired for being sexy then "powerful yet sexy" and lastly powerful or intelligent.
What a mess.
And in the end. Women control the next generation entirely.
If Women wanted too the birth order can be skewed to 80:20, 90:10, whatever.
they can control then entire destiny of mankind, and change history in 2 generations.
What on earth stops them?
Ultimate power through control of the future is in their hands, in thier wombs.
What on earth keeps them from excersising such power?
Men have often left baby girls to die, abortion tends to skew birth towards male over female, and the male:female ratio shows this in India, China, parts of thailand, and historically the roman empire, the greeks, and Arabian peninsula.
It was common enough to be absolutely forbidden by Allah in the Qur'an.
So whats the deal. With total control over the future, absolute power, how is it that women remain as powerless, as maligned as they do. even in the most advnaced nations, only the richer, wealtheir women benefit from anything remotly similar to equal rights with men.
Even in the Torture/Abuse scandals, womens bodies where used as tools, and for all the "disgrace and humiliation" that the detainees suffered, how honorable is the woman now? how powerful? even in that case, was it not her sexuality that was used?
How pathetic, even in postition of total power over the men, it resorted to her as a sexual object.

In the western countries, liberation has meant that a woman's worth is valued on her overt sexuality. Hence you see 10 to 12 year old girls wearing "too hot to handle" tank tops. It's common knowledge that teenage girls feel pressure to give in to having sex with their boyfriends or 'friends with benefits' so that she's viewed as being popular and not a lesbian.
True liberation is when a woman feels empowered with her intellectual, mental, and sexual assets and uses them when she herself is most comfortable with it, not because of what others think.
Unfortunately many women are very insecure and thus let themselves be held hostage to a male-centric view of a woman's place in the world
The "Almond" is not at all about any Muslim woman sexual awakening, how can it be when CASUAL sex is the only goal, and pleasure overrules desire where the man is the prison guard.
