hmmm if it's really all about free speech, then y the publications (especially major ones) are publicly persecuted if they publish something against, lets say, homosexuals? What happens to the 'freedom of speech' then?

I think that this is Bull$hit. Freedom of speech is allowed in the countries that published those cartoon depictions and it is that same freedom that alows muslims to propogate and publically practice their religion. You cannot have one and then demand a limitation on the other.

I don't like the cartoon but I do appreciate the rights that freedom of speech allows me. Without tolerating the rights of others, you lose your own.
