Above the law
I read an article today in the BBC news.bbc.co.uk
I am wondering how some people think they are above the law. How do they shave in the morning? I have some jewish friends who feel ashamed of what the Israeli government is doing in their name. As the saying goes, you get what you plant. Plant injustice, hatered, hunger, rage, and you can be certain you and your children will get it, Salomon's law, they should know it. There is a french black comedian who is known to make political and racial jokes about people all countries and all races. He got into a law suit because he made a joke about jews. I mean, since when you can make fun of one religion/culture but not of the other?

i don't auite remember the 1982 war, but my family has pictures of our building, and the street we live on...everything was wiped out...what about "3anakeed al ghadab" in the south in the 1990's?the baby whose head was in one place and his body in another? and the numerous children who became orphans because of this massacre?
and considering what shalom is doing a duty is subjective, because he considers what isreali soldiers are doing in palestine is ok since it's their duty afterall, but we consider it terrorism...so, it's subjective, really.
anyhow, Westcoastgurl when you have lived through a lot of isreal's bad things it had done, such in lebanon, i don't think you can really like isreal...
It's one thing to have pride in your culture and to defend it from outsiders, but it's another to flaunt your people's struggles and use it to get what you want.
I mean, 6 million peopled died at the whim of a madman, and their legacy should not be dishonored as it is today with all the politics and hypocrisy of the Israeli government.
What!!! He wants to compare to that!
"He said the attempted arrest showed any Israeli officer could now be arrested in Britain simply for having performed their duty. "
How about if the duty is wrong, I can understand Shalom doesn't want a foreign government to arrest someone in the military but the fact this is happening shows that Israel is somehow being monitored....
