Afgans needed for an upcoming documentry.
Afghan's needed for an upcoming documentary about
assimilation and misconceptions of Afghans living in the U.S. (specifically Cali)
-We are already in production and will be done with all of our shoots by July.

The basic premise of my documentary is to unveil the many misconceptions that arose after 911. Before September 11th most people did not know what/where Afghanistan was and yet after the bombings people from Afghanistan were rendered as terrorist, juvenile, etc.
My goal is two fold, first I want to convey the difficulties of immigration for the first generation immigrants. Then speak with the younger population and get their view on their parents struggle with assimilation; and battles of getting caught in the cross fire of feeling too American to be fully Afghan and too Afghan to fully feel American. This feeling of dislocation (I have found) plagues many youth today and I feel it is my duty to shed some light onto this imperative matter.
