I think Ash is alright. She is pretty but she is not the best looking gal. I personally cant stand her voice and her acting is so so. So she is an OK actress. BTW, I didnt watch the Letterman interview with her but I heard she made an a s s out of herself. Her clothing was wrong and her answers were pretty dumb. So I wonder how her interview went for Oprah.
she's absolutely BEAUTIFUL and i know people who have seen her in person who have said the same- make up or not I'm still a big fan...but I think it's hilarious that after watching all the interviews some of her answers were sooooo scripted and rehearsed: for ex. has anyone else noticed that when any of the following questions are asked: Are you going to kiss a guy in an american movie it the director says so? Are you going to have an arrange marriage? Do you see yourself moving to america since you're appearing in such and such...
Aish's automated answer: "we'll cross that bridge when we reach it"
ok, get to the damn bridge already. and MUST she keep reminding EVERYONE that india is the 'land of the kama sutra' ..pretty soon people are gonna start thinkin indos are nothin but hormonally charged movie addicts. I think there could be a smarter answer to that question- but i agree...it seems like no interview w/ her can be complete w/o bringing up sex..so i blame the american media for askin brainless questions instead of askin questions to which she could give answers characteristic of 'an ambassador for india'...i wish she'd be more sincere instead of saying what her publicist thinks she should say. ok i spent way too much time writing this, i gotta find something to do. bye.
groovy girl i am with you on the makeup thing!!! i wanna learn the tricks of the trade! i just wathced a show last night on the style network abotu the beauty secrets of hollywood and how much shi+ they do to their face to look as beautiful, glamourous, flawless and "naturally" beautiful. most of their money is spent on this beauty business. wow. no wonder tehy look beautiful. i'd be a show stopper if i did that much to my face and body and had like 30 ppl working all around me trying to make me look beautiful 24/7!
i am tired of ash. there are other prettier actresses out there who can act also. priyanka is one for example. also, that girl from lucky, is she ash's little sister? she looks like it. but her and salman khan combo is as blasphemous adn painful to watch as ash adn zayed khan! ewwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! that girl looks young enough to be salman khan's DAUGHTER!
there is always makeup in movies, even when it doesnt look like it. it is really amazing too, cuz they put about 2-5 layers of a special type of foundation on your skin and while filming/doing photography they often reflect a silver/gold panel on your face to make it look bright & flawless. i actually want to break into film makeup artistry but it is near impossible living in houston. thinkin of going to makeup school in hollywood...
Amen to that Groovy. The make-up artistry in films has evolved into something truly inspirational. However, Ash looks really pretty, even w/o make-up (i.e. Taal). It was interesting to see her as a wholesome gal and then all glammed out.
while people may doubt that she is really that gorgeous in person and don't think she should get as much hype. i.e. get labelled the most beautiful woman on earth, there is no defying how perfect and amazing her face looks in pictures and movies. I wish I could hang out with the makeup artists in bollywood and learn some tricks...
Shabd... I don't know what casting director thought the Aishwarya Rai and Zayad Khan combo would be good. She looks soo much older.. I am actually hoping they cast that girl from Lucky as her baby sister in a movie, now that would make sense.
i would like to add that i think ash did a *much* better job with this interview than with the letterman one. or the 20/20 one. and im glad she is sharing her saris :-p
