Aishwarya, Salman tapes are not real
MUMBAI ? The 'sensational tapes' allegedly containing conversation between Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai, have been dismissed as a fake by the forensic science laboratory at Chandigarh.
A newspaper, which launched its Mumbai edition in July with a bang, publishing so-called extracts from the tape, claimed the conversation between the two stars had been taped by the police.
Salman Khan is alleged to have warned Aishwarya of dire consequences if she did not perform in a show abroad, and had claimed he had links to the undeworld. The Maharashtra government ordered a probe into the sensational tape.
Additional Commissioner of Police K.L. Bishnoi yesterday said the Chandigarh lab had sent the report, pointing out that the voices in the tape did not match with the voices of two stars.
