Al Kafi
Since the Shia'a always claim we dont know their sources or dont quote fabircation from their sources. I have taken the liberty to go to the most widely known shia site which is www.al-shia.com url=Collection or (al-shia.com) and taken their "hadiths" from Al Kafi and you can see how they are contradict the Quran. The references are there and you can feel free to look them up by clicking the link above.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ?Umayr from Ibrahim ibn ?Abd al-Hamid from Musa ibn ?Ukayl al-Numayri from al-?Ala? ibn Sayyaba from abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following about the words of Allah. "This Quran shows the way to that which is the most upright . . ." (17:9) The Imams (a.s.)said, "It guides to the Imam (a.s.)."
Subhanallah, I thought the Quran guided one to Allah SWT will?

Ali from has narrated from his father from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from al-Zayyat from ?Abdallah ibn Aban al-Zayyat who was well placed in the eyes of al-Rida (a.s.). He has said that he asked al-Rida (a.s.) to pray for him and for his family. Am I not praying for them? I swear by Allah that your deeds are presented before me every day and night." He has said that it seemed extremely great to me. The Imams (a.s.) said to me, "Do you not read in the Holy Quran, ?Act as you wish. God will see your deeds and so will do His Messenger and the believers. . . .?" (9:106) The Imams (a.s.) then said, "I swear by Allah that he (the believer) is Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.)."
They say here that the Imam has knowledge of what people do with out anyone telling them . I thought Allah only had that knowledge of what you do in secerecy!
H 588, Ch. 31, h 2
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ?Adallah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Isa from his father from ?Adallah ibn al-Mughirah from Isma?il ibn abu Ziyad from Ja?far ibn Muhammad (a.s.) from his father (a.s.) from Amir al-Mu?minin Ali (a.s.) who has said the following. "We, the Ahl al-Bayt (family of the Holy Prophet), are the tree of the prophet-hood, the station of the Messenger-ship of (Allah), the center wherein the angels interchange, the house of blessings and the mine of knowledge."
So here they say that the Angels give the Imams divine knowledge, I thought the Angels were only for prophets ?
H 589, Ch. 31, h 3
Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ?Adallah ibn Muhammad from al-Kashshab. He has said that a number of our people have narrated from al-Khaythama who has said that abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) said to him the following. "O Khaythama, we are the tree of prophet-hood, the house of blessings, the keys to wisdom, the mine of knowledge, the station of the Messenger-ship of (Allah), the center wherein the angels interchange and the place for the secrets of Allah. We are the trust of Allah among the people and we are the great Sanctuary of Allah. We are the promised responsibility of Allah and we are His covenant. Whoever remains true to our covenant he has remained true to the covenant of Allah. Whoever disregards his covenant with us he has disregarded his covenant and responsibility towards Allah."
H 598, Ch. 33, h 1
Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ?Abd al-?Aziz ibn al-Muhtadi from ?Adallah ibn Jundab to who Imam al-Rida (a.s.) wrote the following. "Thereafter, (thanking Allah) Muhammad (s.a.) was the trustee of Allah for His creatures. When he was taken away from this world we, Ahl al-Bayt inherited him, thus, we are the trustees of Allah over His earth. With us is the knowledge of the sufferings, the death, the genealogy of the Arabs and the birth of Islam. We know the man when we see him in the truth of faith or hypocrisy. Our followers (Shi?a) are listed (with us) by their names and the names of their fathers. Allah has established a covenant with them and with us. They land wherever we would do so and enter wherever we would enter. There is no besides us and our followers as living the Islamic culture. We are the noble saviors and the descendents of the prophets and of the children of the successors of the prophets. We the ones to whom the book of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has come exclusively. We, of all people, have the first priority (closeness) to the book of Allah. We, of all people, have the first priority (closeness) to the Messenger of Allah. For us He formed His religion.
H 607, Ch. 35, h 1
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ?Amr ibn abu al-Miqdam from Jabir who has said that he heard abu Ja?far (a.s.) say the following. "No one from the people has claimed to have collected the whole of the Holy Quran (in a book form) as it was revealed. If anyone would come up with such a claim, he is liar. No one collected this Holy Book and memorized as Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High revealed it except Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s.) and the Imams after him."
So basically they are saying there that only Ali ( R ) was a hafiz of the Quran and nobody else???
H 616, Ch. 37, h 1
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Salma ibn al-Khattab from ?Abdallah ibn Muhammad from Mani? ibn al-Hajjaj al-Basri from Majashi? from Mu?alla from Muhammad ibn al-Fayd from abu Ja?far (a.s.) who has said the following.
"The staff of Moses belonged to Adam. It was passed to Shu?ayb then to Moses ibn ?Imran. Now it is with us. I have just, moments before, seen it. It is green just as being picked from its tree. It speaks if it is induced to do so. It is prepared for the one who will rise to establish the kingdom of Allah on earth. He will use it in the same way as Moses had done. It frightens and devours things made to trick people and it accomplishes whatever commands it receives. If it would proceed for a task it devours the treacherous materials. It opens into two branches; one on earth and the other towards the ceiling with an opening of forty yards in between and devours the deceptive materials with its tongue."
So now Allah allows the Imams to perform miracles?
H 617, Ch. 37, h 2
Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from ?Imran ibn Musa from Musa ibn Ja?far al-Baghdadi from Ali ibn Asbat from Muhammad ibn Fudayl from abu Hamza al-Thamali who has said that he heard abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) say the following. " The Tablets of Moses are with us. The Staff of Moses is with us. We are the heirs of the prophets (a.s.)."
H 653, Ch. 42, h 2
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu Zahir from Ja?far ibn Muhammad al-Kufi from Yusuf al-Abzari from al-Mufaddal who has said the following. "One day abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) addressed me with a surname, "O abu ?Abdallah, ?he would address me this way before- and I responded, "Yes, O Imam, here I am." He said, "Every Friday night it?s a time of happiness for us." I said, "May Allah increase such a happiness for you. Of what nature is this happiness?" The Imam (a.s.) said, "When Friday night comes the Messenger of Allah arrives to the throne of Allah and the Imams (the leaders who has said the following. possess Divine authority) also arrive there with him and we also arrive with them. Our souls are returned back to our bodies only after receiving very new useful knowledge without which we would already be left without of knowledge."
Here they say the Imams leave their bodies and go to the heavens and come back with more knowledge. Is this part of Islam??
H 661, Ch. 44, h 3
Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Salih ibn al-Sindi from Ja?far ibn Bashir from Durays who has said that he heard abu Ja?far (a.s.) say the following. "Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has two kinds of knowledge. One kind is that which is granted and the kind is that which I withheld. Of the one which, is granted, nothing is known to the angels and the Messengers, but only we know it. The one which is withheld is the kind that is before Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High in the original Book. When it appears it permeates."
H 662, Ch. 44, h 4
Abu Ali al-Ash?ari has narrated from Muhammad ibn ?Abd al-Jabber from Muhammad ibn Isma?il from Ali ibn al-Nu?man from Suwayd al-Qalla from abu Ayyub from abu Basir from abu Ja?far (a.s.) who has said the following. "Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has two kinds of knowledge. One kind of knowledge is that which no one knows except He. The other kind is that which He has taught to the His angels and His messengers. Whatever His angels and Messengers have learned we know it."
Here they say that the Imams posses the same knowledge of Rasulullah (S), I thought the prophet possessed the most knowledge. There was nobody compareable to his excellence, so the Imams compare to his knowledge.
H 666, Ch. 45, h 4
Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Ahmad ibn a1-Hassan ibn Ali from ?Amr ibn Sa?id from Musaddiq ibn Sadaqa from ?Ammar al-Sabati who has said that he asked abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) the following. "Dose the Imam have the knowledge of the hidden facts?" The Imam (a.s.) said, "No, he does not have such knowledge but if he would like to know about a thing Allah grants him such knowledge."
So here they are saying that the Imams can have WHATEVER knowledge they want. If they wanted to know when wanted to die, they could? Subhanallah, only Allah knows when we die.
H 672, Ch. 47, h 3
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from abu Jamilah from ?Abdallah ibn abu Ja?far who has said that my brother narrated from Ja?far (abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) from his father that he went to Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) on the night in which he passed away and offered him a drink requesting, "Father, please drink it." He said, "Son, this is the night in which I will pass away and during such night the Messenger of Allah also passed away." (The date of the demise of the two holy ones, as generally held, is not the same. However, being the same day is a possibility).
Subhanallah, here the say the Imams claim to know when they will die, I thought only Allah knows when people will die!
H 678, Ch. 48, h 1
Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Ahmar from ?Abdallah ibn Hammad from Sayf al-Tammar who has said that he with a group of Shi?a were in the presence of abu ?Abdallah (a.s.) in Hijr and the Imam (a.s.) said the following.
"An eye is watching over us." We then looked right and left and did not see anyone. We said, "No eye is watching over us." The Imam (a.s.) said, "I swear by the Lord of the Ka?ba. I swear by the Lord of the House." He said so three times. "Had I been with Moses and al-Khidr I would have told them that I had more than they did and would have informed them of what they had no knowledge. This is because Moses and al-Khidr were given the knowledge of what was in the past and they were given the knowledge what will be in future or what will exist up to the Day of Judgment while we have inherited all of them from the Messenger of Allah as heirs."
Here they say the Imams know everything, and there is nothing hidden from them. Subhanallah, only Allah knows everything

Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Ya?qub ibn Yazid from Muhammad ibn Isma?il who has said that I heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.) say the following. People may go wherever they may like, however, by Allah, the truth comes from no where else except from here, he pointed out with his hand towards his house."
Here they claim that the Imams can only be right. Only ahlul bayth can posess knowledge and everyone else is wrong.

Asif, your the one that brought up the issue of the LIbrary of Baghdad to try and justify your point that the shia invented hadeeth criticism, and the sunnis copied them. Yet, the Library of Baghdad was burned over 454 years after hijra, well after the science of hadeeth was in full-force. And the Library included many SUNNI manuscripts as well.
What does this say for your argument?
Can you give me the dates of these manuscripts to prove that hadeeth science was invented by the shia? The sunn
Now whether Shia or sunni manuscripts are preserved or not is not really that relevant to their authenticity, as it comes down to the narrators that are trusted.
But the majority of hadeeth in al-Kafi is weak. And yet, your scholars declared it endorsed by the infallible imams. If the USOOL of the shia existed well before al-Kafi was compiled, such that it directed sunni thought, why is the majority of hadeeth in al-Kafi WEAK AND BASELESS?
And now your saying that rijal has really no bearing on whether a hadeeth is considered strong or not, when it comes to the science of hadeeth? And when al-Kafi was declared a majority weak by the LATTER scholars, was it based upon an USOOL that was already existing?
I don?t understand why you are phrasing things in such an inflammatory and anti-Shia manner. Judging by the tone adopted and the content of the replies I don?t think this thread was meant to foster any sort of rational debate or discussion. What is the point of trying to discuss and disseminate knowledge of the religion of Allah (SWT) without putting it into practice? Is this how you believe the Prophet (saww) acted? Actions speak louder than words, remember that when you post your little commentaries.
At any rate:
Here are some of the usools:
1. Kitab Zayd al-Zad;
2. Kitab Ghasfari;
3. Kitab ibn Hamid al-Hannat;
4. Kitab Zayd al-Nirsi;
5. Kitab Ja`far al-Hadrami;
6. Kitab Muhammad al-Hadrami;
7. Kitab `Abd al-Malik ibn Hakim;
8. Kitab Muthanna ibn Walid al-Hannat;
9. Kitab Haddad al-Sindi;
10. Kitab Husayn ibn `Uthman;
11. Kitab Kahili;
12. Kitab Salam Khurasani;
13. Nawadir Abi al-Hasan `Ali ibn Asbat ibn Salim
More of them can be found catalogued at the University of Tehran Library, 117 are mentioned in Al-Dhari`ah.
Now whether Shia or sunni manuscripts are preserved or not is not really that relevant to their authenticity, as it comes down to the narrators that are trusted. At the end of the day the only real and objective way to come to any conclusions is from first principles. That is looking at the Quran and undisputed hadith, looking at the history, looking at the tenets of various schools, and then using your intelligence.
?And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them in Our ways; and Allah is most surely with the doers of good.? Al-Ankabaoot, verse 69, Shakir translation
fee aman Allah
The title 'Shia' is present in the Qur'an and the hadeeth and Hardhat Ibraheem (as) has also been named a Shia. Do you accept this?
12.
If you do accept this, then what you do mean by 'Millat e Ibraheem' in your sect? And if you don't accept this then please give us a reason as to why the word Shi'a has been used with reference to Prophet Ibraheem (as)?
13.
Does opposition to the title 'Shia' not constitute opposition to the Qur'an and the sayings of the holy prophet (s) when this title has been related to Ali (as), Fatima (as) and the Ahlul Bayt (as)?
Please see our article "To know the Shia'a"
14.
If it is then what is the punishment for opposing Allah (swt) and His Messenger? If it is not, then present an explicit narration with evidence to support your position?
15.
The religion of Islam is established and its continual existence through every generation is a necessity. Hence, during the period of the Sahaba and the Tabe'een what titles were used?
16.
Which one of these titles was the oldest? Narrate with evidence.
17.
If it is Shi'a that was in use as has been confirmed by Shah Abdul Aziz Muhaddas Dahlavi in Taufa Ithna Ashriyya, then all the Sahabah, Tabe'een and Taba Tabe'een were Shia'a. Does your hatred to a title used by these great personalities not discredit their name?
18.
With questions 17 in mind, why do you say that the Shi's martyred Imam Husayn (as)?
19.
What is the definition of Shi'a in your sect? Mention it with a lexical reference.
20.
Define Nasibi and Rafidhi in detail with lexical reference.
Thus, allegiance is not to any particular group. It has turned into a sectarian group nowadays.
and any follower of Ali adheres to Muhammad, but the same cannot be said for Muwiyah. Do you support him?
your questions are baseless. The word Shia'a means party which is mentioned in the Quran in bad ways and good ways. It is A WORD and nothing else with signifcance to support to the shia'a. If you know your history, you know that REAL name of you all is "shia'a tul Ali" meaning the party of Ali, and the opposing group was called "Shia'a tul Mua'wiyyah" meaning the party of Mu'awiyah. The word Nunafiqeen, Fasiq, and etc and they do not mean anything good. So WHAT on Gods earth is your point? lol
1.
It is an established fact that all things are recognised by their name, even Allah (swt) first taught names to the father of Mankind Adam (as). Your sect also has names such as Sunni, Ahl' ul Sunnah or Ahl'ul Sunnah wa al Jamaah. Direct us towards any such verse of the Qur'an wherein any of these names have been indicated.
2.
If these titles cannot be located in the Qur'an could you produce this title from any hadith of the holy prophet (s)? Produce any such 'mutawatir' 'marfuu' or 'saheeh' narration from your books with a complete source (meaning the name of the book, version number, page number, edition etc) wherein the names Sunni, Ahl'ul Sunnah and Ahlul Sunnah wa al Jamaah have been mentioned by the holy prophet (saww) as a sect of Islam.
3.
If these are not to be found in the hadeeth, then at least come up with an exact date, month and year of hijrah from the history of Islam when these names were adopted as your identity.
4.
What were you famously known as before adopting these names?
5.
Why have you forsaken your previous title?
6.
According to your sect, an introduction of any new thing to Islam constitutes bid'a, therefore to effectuate such an introduction is also a bid'a, so who was the person responsible for introducing this bid'a?
7.
Could you provide decisive evidence with regards to the meanings of Sunni, Ahl Sunnah and Ahl'ul Sunnah wal Jamaah?
8.
Which one is the most ancient of the three titles?
9.
Which one of the three titles do you consider the best?
10.
Why are the remaining two of lesser merit? Which one of those two is the least and what is the reason behind it?
"Mohammed Ibne Abdul Wahhab is known as a Wahhabi. His beliefs were excellent."
(Fatawa-e-Rashidia, Book 1,pp/111 by Rashid Ahmed Gangoi).
Now when the founding father of the Deobandi/Tableeghi school of thought praises the Wahhabi beliefs, then surely he also condones the slaughter and rape of the Muslims by these very Wahhabis. He also condones the Bombing of the Holy Shrine of the Prophet(Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam). Then, we the Sunni Muslims, would like to know, why the Deobandis/ Tableeghis object on being called Wahhabis, when their own leader has praised the Wahhabis for their 'excellent beliefs'?"
Surprize surprize more skewed information. Not that i'd like to change the direction of this convo by acknowledging this idiots attempt to divert the conversation but i just would like to present a more accurate picture of Shaykh Gongohi's (rahmatullah alay) statement and provide a context. The following link will pretty much debase this angle of the jackass who wrote this piece's arguement. www.central-mosque.com
In the last few years the term 'Wahhabi' has become infamous among the Muslims, however, there is very little understanding among the general Muslim populace as to the exact meaning of this term 'Wahhabi'.
Some say that there is no such thing as a 'Wahhabi' it is only a myth. Others say that a 'Wahhabi' is a person believes in Allah's attribute of Al-Wahhab. Yet others say that to call someone a 'Wahhabi' is an insult. So what is the mystery surrounding this term 'Wahhabi' ?
As to those who say that there is no such thing as a Wahhabi, they are either misinformed or lack knowledge on the subject. That leaves us with the other two possibilities as mentioned above. A Mullah in a local mosque in South London gave a lengthy Jum'a Khutba on the term Wahhabi. The Mullah was called a Wahhabi by a worshipper and the Mullah decided to clear his name. The Mullah argued, that, yes he was a Wahhabi because he believed in the attribute of Allah, Al-Wahhab.
It was an excellent attempt by this Mullah to clear his name and hide the facts. Ask yourself, why did a worshipper at the mosque call this Mullah a 'Wahhabi', the worshippers could have used any of Allah's other famous 99 attributes, why call the Mullah a 'Wahhabi'? And if the Mullah believes that he is a Wahhabi on account of his belief in the attribute of Allah Al-Wahhab, then why make such a song and dance about clearing his name as a 'Wahhabi'?
In short, the Mullah was offended when the worshipper called him a Wahhabi, this clearly indicates that there is more to this term 'Wahhabi' then meets the eye. So, we are left with the third possibility which indicates that there is something sinister about the term 'Wahhabi'. And to accuse someone of being a 'Wahhabi' is an insulting remark, but why? We shall now clearly define the term 'Wahhabi' and how it came about.
1. A 'Wahhabi' is a person who follows the teachings of a Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi. Just as we call people who follow the Madhab of Imam Abu Hanifa(RA), Hanafi. Wahhabis are not called 'Wahhabis' because they believe in Allah's attribute Al-Wahhab, all Muslims believe in Allah's attribute Al-Wahhab.
2. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi was born in 1699 and died in 1792. Before he appeared, there was no such term as 'Wahhabi'.
3. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi rebelled against the Akida of Ahle Sunna Wa Jama'a and established his own Wahhabi School of thought. He took as his mentor Ibn Taimiyya (b1263/d1328), who also had rebelled against the Akida of Ahle Sunna Wa Jama'a and established his own school of thought.
4. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi was spoon feed and supported by the British Government who were looking for rebellious people like Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi to destroy the Islamic Caliphate from within its self. (Read the 'Confessions of a British spy' for a detailed account of Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi's partnership with the British).
5. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi was despised by his father and brother, who were both learned ulama of the Ahle Sunna Wa Jama'a. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi's brother, Sheikh Suleman, refuted Wahhabism in his book 'As-sawa'iq al-ilahiyya fi'r-raddi'ala 'i-Wahahabiya'.
6. Mohammed Ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi declared the Ahle Sunna Wa Jama'a as 'Kafirs'. He passed a ruling that it was lawful to kill men, women and children belonging to the Ahle Sunna Wa Jama'a. In fact, it is recorded in the books of history, that, the Wahhabis killed over 100,000 thousand Muslim men and enslaved the women and children.
7. Wahhabis came into power by torturing and killing Muslims. They finally took Mecca with the help of the British in 1924 and bombarded the Shrine of the Holy Prophet(Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) in Medina. But it was in 1931 that they finally took Medina. And in 1932 the Wahhabis founded the state of Saudi Arabia.
These, then are the beliefs and atrocities that the Wahhabis committed not too far in history but they have managed to cover their tracks successfully with 'Petro-Dollars', by buying the weak Iman of some corrupt scholars who also became Wahhabis. So, the Mullah in the Mosque gave a totally misconstrued definition of a 'Wahhabi'. He was in reality offended when the worshipper called him a Wahhabi, because the Mullah knew full well what the worshipper meant when he called him a Wahhabi. The worshipper clearly knew the account of the Wahhabi history of murder and disrespect towards the Prophet(Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam). Our Mullah belongs to the Deobandi school of thought and this is what one of the founding fathers of the Deobandi/Tableeghi movement had to say about the Wahhabis.
Then, we the Sunni Muslims, would like to know, why the Deobandis/ Tableeghis object on being called Wahhabis, when their own leader has praised the Wahhabis for their 'excellent beliefs'?
We seriously urge the unsuspecting Muslim populace to rethink their views and study the recent Islamic history in respect of the Wahhabi/Deobandi/ Tableeghi movements which all stand for the same cause but under different names.
It will be seen that these three notorious movements are bent on defaming the Holy Prophet(Sallalahu alayhi wa sallam) and destroying Islam from the inside. These three movements are the products of British Conspiracies and nothing else.
For too long the Sunni Muslims have been sitting idle, while the Wahhabi/Deobandi/Tableeghi movements have brain washed our Sunni brothers & sisters. They have destroyed the very fabric of our pure beliefs and polluted our Mosques with their twisted beliefs. These people never debate with the learned scholars of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, fearing the lose of face should their congregations hear of their defeat. They always run away making an excuse of not wanting to make fitna, when in reality they are the fitna makers who have divided the Muslim communities everywhere.
Now it is up to you fair minded Muslims to study the beliefs of these movements, their leaders and their aims. And it is up to you fair minded Muslims to ask Mosque committees to allow Sunni Muslims to preach and practice true Islam. Why should only the Wahhabis, Deobandis and Tableeghis have control of all our Mosques. Why don't the Mosque committees allow Ahle Sunna scholars to lead prayer, is it because, like the Wahhabis, they think that Ahle Sunna Muslims are Kafirs?
Yes, we need to ask these question to the Mosque committees, unless the committee members are themselves Wahhabis, they should allow the Sunni Muslims to use the Mosques for Milad-un-Nabi, Salat-o-Salaam on Fridays and Urs Sharif. If the beliefs of the Ahle Sunna Wal Jama'a are wrong, then prove it, come and debate with as face to face!
Because the Wahhabis could not dominate the Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent with their corrupt beliefs, they bought a few corrupt Mullahs to do their dirty work for them. These Mullahs pretended to be Sunni Muslims until such a time when they had brainwashed enough unsuspecting Sunni Muslims, then they declared their corrupt beliefs openly.
It is about time that the Mosque committees did justice to the Muslim populace. It is about time they accepted the truth instead of running away from it. It is about time that they realised they will have to carry the burden of all the congregation, whom they have allowed to be exposed to Wahhabi beliefs.
We only pray that Allah opens the eyes and minds of the Mosque committee members and makes them distinguish truth from falsehood. Ameen.
May Allah protect us from these evil movements and their beliefs. May Allah give us the strength to speak the truth. Ameen.
Exposing the Enemy Within!
How can it be derived from the Quran Asif, if only the infallible imams can tell you the meaning of the Quran?
The science of hadith was in fact initiated by the Shia school of thought, with compilation being initiated by Imam Ali (as) during the lifetime of the Prophet (saww). The sunni compilation did not begin until the second century, and the first to do this was Ibn Jurayj.
You forget to mention that the books burned in the Baghdad library were a HUGE VARIETY OF TOPICS, from Greek and Roman philosophical works, to SUNNI WORKS AS WELL. By 454 AH, the science of hadeeth was already in full-force, and the methodology was preserved in the sunni world. Why can we find no traces of it in early shia thought, such that al-Kafi has to be in the majority a book of TRASH?
Yet, gues what? Certain books sunni's posses reference the works that have been lost... For example, Hammad bin Munabbih, the EARLIEST COMPILATION OF HADEETH, i.e. a student of Abu Huraira (R) manuscript was discovered and published in this century, and GUESS WHAT... these hadeeth are found in the works of Bukhari...
So our hadeeth compilations have PRESERVED the knowledge... yet Asif_Ali is making stuff up that 'shias invented the hadeeth science'...
LOL.. in fact, we know from all the various works of early Islam, that the hadeeth science reached its formulation period well after the death of the Prophet (S), because of the works of Imam Shafii (R)... BEFORE THAN, it was not elaborated that deeply, whether in KUFA, i.e. Iraq, or Medina...
Of the 400 usools, some were lost druing the burning of Baghdad in 484AH, and through other means, however some 200 or more survive and are catalogued in Tehran University Library.
Can you name any of them Asif? Or are these just general statements that in no way prove your point?
BTW Countless manuscripts of various tabieen and scholars have been lost as well. We know of them, because the scholars have mentioned these works in their books.
Abu Hurayra (R) stated that he heard the Propeht (S) say that water heated by water nullifies wudhu. IBN ABBASS (R), THE COUSIN OF THE PROPHET (S), stated that if this were the case, than water heated by fire cannot be used for wudhu...
Did he dispute ABu Huraira (R) as a narrator, or did he reject the statement of ABu Huraira (R) based upon common experience...
Please don't make me give you countless proofs where Sahabah (R) rejected statements attributed to the Prophet (S based upon the fact that a hadeeth went against their understanding of the Quran.
In fact, it is well known that ibn Abbass (R) had a list of narrations attributed to Ali (R) given to him, and he took some and threw out the rest saying, IF ALI HAD STATED IT, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN RUINED...
Did he dispute the source?
And MrMuss... sorry, but if this was your attempt at a response to my refutation of your latest copy-and-paste job on tawasul, than really, it's a nice try... but guess what... I already debated a shia before using the same article you referenced ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO, and he couldn't respond as well...
like I said, I'm one step ahead of you...
What do you think we've talking about in the other journal about the dead hearing?
If you still are not convinced of what was being discussed, I've given you the links at the end of my answer and you can look them up yourself. I think it's an Ahl al-Sunnah website from the literature and biographies of some of the personalities that were on it (Sunnah.org).
