Allah's Mercy and Forgiveness

Allah the Almighty has said: O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were you then to ask for forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.

Assalaam alaikum brother,
the answer to to your question is yes Allah subhana wa Ta'ala, will accept if a person genuinly asks for forgiveness even if he knew what he did was wrong while performing the sin. if the person genuinly repent from his heart.
i hope this answers your question.

wasalaam.

Jazak-Allah. May I ask your oppinion about something?

Is it understandable for someone to do something they themselves know is wrong. but for them to still expect forgiveness anyway because their repentance will be genuine afterwards.
