Assalam U Alikum Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Barakatu,
Inshallah this message will reach you and your loved ones in the best of health. Last week I sent out an email requesting blood and platelets for Ameena, my two year old daughter that was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. MashAllah, brothers and sisters of all ages lined up for their donation to help Ameena. I only met a few of you. As I am with Ameena and Ameena is in isolation. However, by Allah, I did dua for you. I did dua that Allah ease your path, give you and your loved ones Barakah and fill you with His Rahma. I did the dua for the person that came and donated, the person that came and could not donate, for the person that helped others get here, for the person that distributed the email requesting help, for the person that had done dua for Ameena and the Umah that has given us hope and pride. Jezakum Allah Khair Inshallah.
Ameena is going through her toughest challenge right now. Inshallah Allah will ease her path. She is really fighting hard, fevers, mouth sores and her skin getting tainted (a form of burning) from the chemo drugs. She is heavily medicated to keep her comfortable. Inshallah we are making the best decisions for her. We are tired and doing the best we can. Please do dua for us.
Ameena is in need for platelets. MashAllah the donors for blood and platelets this past weekend was amazing. I cried when I heard that you came for Ameena. Inshallah you will have significant rewards in this life and the next. Blood has a shelf life of 3 weeks, so Ameena is doing good in blood supply for this week. Jezakum Allah Khair. I have updated her blood and platelet needs on her webpage. However, Ameena is still in need for Platelets. It is hard to donate platelets. It must happen through appointment, you must have good veins, pass the questions, and then sit for two hours (they provide you with movies to watch, you can read a book, take a headset with you). It is a hardship and a lot to ask of anyone. Inshallah I don't transgress by this request. Platelets only have a shelf live of 5 days. So the expire quickly, which Ameena uses.
Ameena can take any A or O blood products, but for platelets A is a better match then O. She can't have any B or AB blood or platelets. If you are able to give platelets please make sure you indicate that you are a DIRECTED DONOR for AMEENA MOOERS. You must spell her name correctly (her last name is a bit tricky).
Ameena is at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The blood donor department phone number is 1-323-669-2441. Their webpage is www.childrenshospitalla.org `
You can view the criterion for donating blood and/or platelets. Their hours are M-F 8 AM-5 PM (closed 1:30 PM-2:30 PM), Sat by appointment only 8 AM-2 PM. Closed on Sundays.

There is underground parking, as well parking across the street down a bit. The Blood bank will give you a parking voucher. Please send me an email or leave a message on Ameena's board to let me know that you have donated, that way I can update her blood and platelet calendar on her website.
Inshallah this answers all your questions. If you can please pass this on to your distribution lists in the Southern California area. People from Northern Ca have tried to donate but it far to expensive to transfer the blood or platelets. More importantly please do dua for Ameena. Please ask the Imam to do dua for Ameena at juma. Inshallah, she will inherit your characteristics of sadaqa by taking your platelets and or blood.
