The Prophet had kafir companions for 40 years. Even after that he continued his relationship with the kafir and preached his messages of "peace" and "equality". Not hate ... like you would like. Are you telling me that the day Prophet announced the message,he stopped his relationships with all the people of mecca who were not his followers ?

The point is that you have turned Islam into a religion of hate... and removed the love, compassion, brotherhood and equality it preaches.

Next time you see a non-muslim, let him know that you hate him and hopefully he will convert to Islam to please you. I guess that's how the prophet converted all those non-believers to Islam in your opinion.

Funny you said Allah prohibits you from befriending Kafirs, cause he definitely didn't prohibit the Prophet from befriending Kafirs.

Seems like you hate everyone who is not 100% like you. I look at things differently... I don't have to share a religion with someone to like them.
As far as hate is concerned...that's a very strong emotion, one the consumes a person and brings out the worst in them.
This may sound like a cheesy example to you.. but I have to agree with Obi-Wan Kenobi when he warned Luke..

You live in USA according to your profile ? So if you don't want anything to do with Shia because of their differences, then how do you deal with Christians, Jews, atheist, Buddhist, Hindus, Sikhs and all other religions ? Do you simply hate them all ?

My main concern over here is the inability of some people to discuss a matter subjectively. If a person can't discuss their issue in a reasonable manner, then they don't belong on this forum. All I see is people spewing their hate for the other sect, and that's not what the forum is for.

It's not over confidence. I am just saying I feel comfortable with my beliefs. As a fellow Muslim, you you should be able to understand that different people will have different believes.. and interpret Quran and Hadith differently than yours.

We may never agree on Khilafat and Imamat issues.... but this in no way means one of us should be condemed to hell.

Just because someone doesn't accept the khalifa doesn't become kafir.

Do keep in mind that Iman Hussian died and whole issue was that he would NOT give yazid his bayya. So in other words, he did not accpet Yazid as the khalifa.
Khalifa is a political figure.. and does not serve as a way to oust one from the religion.

Also the fact that only one sect of Islam is "in" and everyone is kaffir is also absurd in my opinion. It's just what some old fashioned catholics would say.. only Catholics go to heaven.. everyone else goes to hell. This is just not possible.

asim, you have to look at the bigger picture. We will return to the khilafat.. what then will become of the shia? Will they be part of the Islamic state or will they be considered a non muslim minority amongst the rest of the kuffar?

silkysword writes fictional stories to start riots. He has done this not only in sunni shia villages, but also in converts village. he says he lives in Canada.. where there are Christian, jews and God knows who else.. why can't be get over Shais and learn to live with them too ?

Truth about history all depends on one's perspective. Neither I .. nor you were there when it all happened.
I believe in what I feel is the right thing to do.
More than half of my father's family is sunni. Growing up I had a choice.. I could have gone either way... I carefully picked the side I thought was right. As a shia.. I believe in the judgement day... and I am willing to face the concequences for my beliefs.

If you don't want to believe in something then don't. No one is forcing you to become shia.
I don't see any shia complain how sunnis are kafirs for rejecting the imams. But I feel there should be NO name calling.
If you think it's okay to call Shia kafir and whatever.. then how is that different from a Christian publishing cartoons of the prophet ? If you feel you should have the right to insult someone's religion.. don't you think you should extend the same courtesy to other religions as well ?

it was ONLY meant to mock the Shia taking pride of young child Ali embracing Islam at age 10!!!!! They say all the time "Oh, Ali was the first believer in Muhammad" even though Ali was a child then, whose life-turning, life-spanning, major decision such as 'converting' to another religion should NOT be taken seriously or held as a source of pride!!! Like we see this Shia below saying what he's saying to me on the story of the IMAGINARY Shia boy in my journal above, I direct his words right back at him (and the Shia reading this, the clowns among whom I was behind them getting kicked out of here -names?
