Salamz....inshallah im sure you will get the position..let me know if you need any help, but it looks as though you have things covered, connection wise!!....Actually I do know Jenny, again I think a class above....so Bill went into banking?.....im sure alot of ppl left after the Genworth split, I know that most of my cohort was pissed off with the whole situation...if you can drop me a line with Bills contact into, I would love to say hey. Also, if curious as to the interview processes, holla, and I can give you my 2 cents...

to answer your question, no im not an IMLP... yet.. inshaAllah im vying for the position for upcoming class recruiting in sept/october. at this point im not with GE but am consulting at a ge healthcare location. so you would have gone under the genworth umbrella, if i am understanding it correctly hence the limitated opportunities for yourself and other people in your position. from what i know bill left for the same reason and he also went into i-banking at jp morgan. noticed you went to um-college park- would you have hpnd to know another maryland grad who was part of the FMP - jenny darling... i know- kinda random...only reason i know of a few of the program people is because they did a rotation at GEFA-PMG . hope all is working out well for you.

ru an IMLP?...its good to see desis moving into more senior positions in the company....wht business are you in, Consumer or Commercial? One thing I didnt point out was that had insurance not spun off, I would have most def. finished the program, so your def. in a good situation...

i knew of Bill, I think he was a class above....basically when Insurance spun off, we were no longer GE employees and were limited rotation wise to NC and VA, which i def did not want...the program changed and I was pretty burnt up wit the whole situation, so at that point i decided to leave....GE sells u on FMP and CAS, which def are great programs and a good route, but for me it was no longer an option, so I decided to change to i-banking. One thing you should understand is that FMP and CAS are very highly regarded internally, but their value is not as high if/when you leave the company.

salaam- where were you based out of? i knew a few FMPs that were in the program at the time of the GE Insurance transition... bill jarvis and couple others? i know what you mean of the long hours - literally like having no social life to an extent. what made you leave the FMP, if you dont mind me asking? b/c the newest cfo of the last GE business i worked was an FMP and CAS graduate - an indian woman at that ...which was great to see.

used to be in GE's FMP (Financial Management Program)...I spilt and went into i-banking when they spun off GE insurance.....my experiance otherwise was good, long hours, but they give you lots of responsibility if you take the initiative...
