Anyone familiar with immigration law?

I have a friend (US citizen) who would like to marry a boy from Denmark. She was wondering what the quickest way was to get him a green card? I did some research and found that it masy be quicker to apply thru the US Consulate in Denmark. But I also ready about a Fiance visa where she could get him over here on that and then they would have 90 days to get married and then apply for his green card while he is in the US. Supposedly this way he is in the US while his application is being processed and usually he will be approved within the 90 days and therefore, not have to return to Denmark. Anyway, I am a little confused as to which is the quickest process to get someone over here thru marriage. Is there anyone who can help me figure that out?? Thanks so much :)

thanks for the help--unfortunately the guy has no relatives here in the US who could sponsor him and no job waiting on him either...so the K1 fiancee visa seems to be the overall consensus....

Hassanmahmad: Does your firm do free consultations or will my friend need to pay if she speaks with you or one of your colleagues? Thanks for the advice ;)

hm..unless of course he has a father, or mother here that's a citizen or LPR--then he could come over here on a immediate relative visa--which is prolly the quickest visa...he might be able to apply for a work visa if his work is willing to sponsor him here (and his job is something that is something where 1) he is not competing directly with jobs for american workers, and 2) giving him a job here will not affect the wages of american workers)...but ya i agree with the posts below, k is likely the way to go..

I think going with the K-I fiance visa is the best approach. Hassanmahmad is correct in that they should marry within the stipulated 90 day period. However, he can apply for a green card only after being married for a period of time. He can apply for a work permit in the mean time.

K-1 fiance all the way. Also, he won't get approved for a green card within 90 days, he has to get MARRIED within 90 days of hsi entry to the US, but as long as he does so, and then files for his green card, he can wait here in the US and apply for a work permit to work while he waits for the actual approval, which takes a longer time (depends on where in the US they live.)
