Anything to ease the pain of a heartache?

Was wondering if there is anything that anyone can suggest to ease the pain of a heartache from being let down and just abandoned by people that are close to you? And tell me what should i do if i have a friend that has been my friend for 2 years has chosen to walk away from our friendship and totally insults your friendship, only thinks of them self, and is not there when you need them but your there for them each and every incident and degrade you as a person should you forgive and forget that and still continue to be friends. Or should you find closure and just let go.

dear....heartache is not always bad cuz it teaches u 2 b more careful in choosing ppl in the future....u wanna a cure : remember that luv that may gather any 2 humanbeings 2gether in brotherhood, friendship, romance, etc. this luv is a mutual process & tha failure of one partner 2 give that luv means the disappearance of mutuality wich is indeed luv itself...so wen luv is gone u can' bend urself with the illusion if luv thinking that it exists on ur side only...cuz luv can never b on 1 side while illusion can.....all wut u have 2 do is : 1-face reality & dun' run into ur imagination...2- believe that the longest day should have a dawn...2morrow will b a better day 3- 2 b a broken heart is like being stung , it hurts bt the pain won't last 4ever this pain is relieved day after day...u just neeed time 2 cure the bleeding wounds & make them only scars 2 learn from

HOLD ON :)

My borther, I agree that we are muslims and our religion asks for forgiveness, but you know what?
Iam sure sherry forgave her friend for manytimes, and Allah tells us to forgive, but he said not to accept being insulted too(Al3ayno bil3ayni, walsino bilsini walwakhso bilwakhs).
And yes you are true. Is he or she a real muslim!

Hi Sherry,
I think there is one thing more hurting than being hurt by a friend. It is to be hurt by your love!
But a good friend never is a selfish one( sick), otherwise he or she doesn't deserve your freindship.

So you are the one who decide . To me I forgive once and maybe twice, but to be insulted is something I can't handle even from beloved ones!

Thanks I think at this point my friend is just living for the moment and doesn't realize that if anything happens I am the only one they have. Hopefully inshallah all will be ok. I was thinking the same thing I dont want to be a bad person, but I cant let myself be degraded its not good for me mentally. Thank you for your advice and I will keep it in mind and I will surely pick my friends more carefully. Though sometimes I think we have no control over that. It seems everyone comes in our life for some reason or another. So I am grateful for that.

all you can do is your part, and it seems like you've done that so you should be content with that, and i agree you shouldn't reach out to them either. i think we have to be careful when were just using hadiths's. that hadith sounds great and all, but i personaly think it's impossible to live by all these hadiths, and i've seen alot of good people leave Islam due to hadiths. sometimes you have to use your own judgement, no person should be degrading another person (much less a good freind). oUnfortunly that person isn't worth calling a friend. i think it's admirable though that you will still have that friends back, maybe he/she will realize sojehting

I dont think it really matters to that person I have to reach out to them but they keep pushing me away. So i have decided that I wont anymore. I will be just here if they need me I will do my best but I will not be a part of their life it only degrades me as a human being to be chasing after someone that doesnt want me there.

sherry they should be religious enough to be away of this hadith by the prophet" Allah's Apostle said:

"Do not hate one another, nor be jealous of one another; and do not desert one another, but O Allah's worshipers! Be Brothers! And it is unlawful for a Muslim to desert his brother Muslim (and not to talk to him) for more than three nights." (Narrated Anas bin Malik)

another hadith states if a muslim deserts his muslim brother/sis for more than 3 days, and if her/she dies that night, he/she goes straight to jahanam, hellfire.

Yes they are, and I have to say they are pretty religious they have brought me closer to Islam but its just the whole thing of how can you shun a human being like if they are nothing just doesnt make sense. I guess I am to much of a caring person and I take friendship a little more serious then others do.
