Even Syria that Israel wants America to invade.

Muslims are taught to "defend themselves in the sweetest ways in order to turn enemies into dear friends."

Will Americans please stop believing Israeli lies about Arabs? Israeli terrorism blamed on Arabs? Israeli terrorism websites with forged videos that claim to speak for Arabs?

Will Americans finally stop trusting Israelis regarding Arabs.

It is not the fault of Americans nor American media for not giving visibility to the Muslim and Arab aid. Simply put those Arab states which donated the money most likely did it to please the government of the USA and therefore they don't care for the word to reach the average citizen. Every respectful state in the world especially in the west employ powerful means to promote their policies be it political, economical, humanterian and so on. It is no accident that there is a reporter for CNN or ABC or CNBC in France or London or Spain stationed there to report explusivley on that specific country. Arab and Muslim states can have the same if they play their cards right.

This is for Muslimgentelman, I don't wish to deviate from the subject of this JE since we are talking about Arab countries response but I think you have a point. Our Muslim communities in America tend to only act when there are accusations against us as if we are forced to be victimized all the time, and when we do something good like this relief efforts we don?t know how to use the media to our advantage. For example, the link I posted earlier should have had some photos from the different Muslim communities, in Houston, Baton Rouge and Mobile, and the 700 volunteers there.

I would never donate to Katrina victims, because I want the West to be impoverished, for its people to rise up against their governments and overthrow them. I know that the people are always better than the governments, but they still didn't stop their governments' aggressions, thus came Alalh's soldiers, human were they or natural phenomena.

To answer you, MuslimGentleman, on the promptness of ISNA after a terrorist attack: ISNA is only a translation and an expression of the Muslims of the West who would go as far as disowning their own 'coreligionists' in order to stay living in the 'free' West. ANYTHING but "don't kick us out of here, please ya West!!" They extent of what they want to do for their homelands is go in 'vigils', stupid demonstrations where they claim they fulfilled enough their duty towards their homelands. They are sucking up to the West, licking its shoes, just to remain in the worldly jannah of the West they are living in. And Arabs back home are just like them! I've heard enough from them saying: "I wish if I were a shoe you could smuggle to Canada, where you're living!" All this for what? Just the wreckage of this dunya!! They want to liberate Palestine and Iraq by the slogans they shout and the signs they carry, don't want to water the tree of Islam with their 'blood', only their 'coffee' they enjoy drinking several times during their Western days and nights.

i agree with everyone on here. Yes, we should help the americans as it improves our image, our credibility and disporve the israelis (see the posting of the JE). BUT we should also mobilize our OWN human, natural and finanical resources to help our own.

Aha, lily. Our aid should go first to Muslim families registering they were struck by this disaster. whatever 'leftovers' its up to the Muslim donor, but I think such 'charity' given to non-Muslims need a fatwa. I'm sure there's one making clear if we can do that or not. Let's not forget that there were always so many Muslims in need of that money before these Americans!!
