Are age and maturity synonmous?

It has always been impressed upon me that age and maturity go hand in hand; that a young'in is incapable of the level of maturity of a 35 year old because they lack experience, and experience is the source of widsom.

I'm turning 25 soon, but I honestly don't think I've changed much since I was 15.

What I have gained, if anything, is the confidence to know that which I have always believed is for certain, and that I should not be intimidated or insecure in practicing those beliefs.

I guess that confidence could be attributed to maturity, but whatever -

Do you feel you've "matured", and if so, how?

i agree...i think my core ideas and beliefs havent changed since i was 16.... at that young age...those are beliefs/ideas untested....so it is felt that you are not wise/mature...but often i believe we at times are wiser when we are younger...those beliefs and our life are black and white....as we mature...we are caught in the gray ....! but thats i guess an aspect of maturity...that you have experienced and been exposed to diff colors of life....and then you decide where you fit....

experiences throughout ones life....help polish/reinforce our character..and thus maturity is reflected....

i feel age is a variable in maturity....age doesn't always = maturity...but i do believe often time adds to the confidence which helps us mature...

age comes with time...that allows you to test your beliefs...those become experiences...they build confidence in your beliefs...which bring/increase/strengthen your maturity....

I agree when you say "experience is the source of wisdom". There are those who may be 30 but will still lack life experience. Education, independence and certain life situations also play a very big role when it comes to maturity. If someone is a teacher they will notice that some children will be more mature then others. It really depends on the person altogether.

I would say in a way its the kind of experiences in life that make you mature hence giving you confidence over the future to come. As one learns from their mistakes and thats where you grow up and make sure you dont make the same mistake more than twice.

To mature in age is to see the world change and reinvent itself. An experience that makes one wise, elated, melancholy, and fearful.

What I believe is when you are living independent, that is mature. When we know that our Maa is not going to wake us up or make dinner and we do everything ourselves that is Mature. And Obiously the Desi Approach "Khaan-Daan ki Naaq Na Katwaanaa" is obviusly being 100% Mature Person.
