How many people from this village are actually FROM Hyderabad? Or are they all just born in the US or elsewhere and are wannabe Hydros?

My dad is from hyderabad. My mom was born in Karachi, but her Mother was born and raised in Hyderabad, but because my mother's side was only in India for 2 generations, they never picked up the Hyderabadi lehja (speech, khara dupatta, etc). And they cant make biryani, so they make this fake rice thing called 'pulao'. My Nanaabba was from Bombay.

Technically, no, because, as the Americans would say, you're an Indian-American. But I suppose that is all up to opinion also, so I really don't know. Btw, is your mom or your dad from Hyderabad?

OneMozLuv2, I, ApaKhala and Sherni (SamH) have relatives in Aurangabad. Aurangabad is few miles away from Bombay. Both are in Maharashtra. Thus, I am sure we all are related somehow. However, they are not memon.

Not from Hyderabad, I am from Mumbai. But i am fascinated with India. I would just love to go visit all the cities and different areas. There is so much to see, the different cultures, the people, the history, etc. Btw, i do not seem to be related to anyone in this village..i feel a little left out...lol

Once I went out of my house to get some khulfi even when my mom said no. So, my mom called ApaKhalla. ApaKhala twisted my ear in front of the whole public and slapped me on the back of my head all the way back home. That is how ApaKhalla is. She is everybody's Khaala. I was Shaitaan and Apakhala was Shaitaan ki Khaala.

ApaKhalla, dont even pretend that u dont know. U r from Old City. U used to beat up men who were a menace to the society. U were the typical Khalamma of old city. U were the pride of Gulzar House.
