Atif Aslam and RDB
Hey All,
I am sure; Pakis and Non-Pakis and the wannabe Pakis alike are psyched up for the Atif Aslam concert at our very own Mather High School on April 22, 2006. As much as the success of their debut single "Aadat" was instantaneous, the break-up of the original line-up of the band Jal has been long drawn out and quite sordid. There were public and rather brutal recriminations between Atif and Gohar (HOTTIE ALERT), Farhan-(THE OTHER HOTTIE), and the other dude (whose not really aesthetically pleasing) lol and their respective fans. Legal suits, threats, a lot of heartburn and pointless mudslinging followed in the papers and indeed all over the Net. In all of this, the band seems to have come out for the worse and pretty much become a public joke - a punch line, sort of like the band in Alan Parker's The Commitments which breaks up right at the verge of breaking out. In all, one was almost convinced that the whole affair marked the death sentence for Jal, an epitaph for them as a one-hit wonder. I guess now Jal and Atif fans can check out his self-debuted album-which I have memorized thoroughly along with my 2 yr old nephew Zain, and belt out my own version of ?Adat? along with other pretentious Paki and wannabe Pakis alike.
BTW, RDB? Whose that and why do I care? You can also expect to see ex- Paki drama hookers shaking their stuffs on stage in between acts-YEAH!

Imran-wow that mini concert mustve been amazing..a girlfriend of mine was dating this kat who knows Farhan and Gohar whilst they were recording. She said, by ways of her ex, that Atif was really cocky and wanted to run the show. Puhhlease, South Asians are known for ripping everyones ideaz! Its what we DO! LOL Are you going to the concert?
Imran-I like Bikra Hou Mein....have you heard this one song by Jal called Hame Itna Pyar, its like a 2 minute clip on apni isp and its really tyte despite some horrible vocals by someone other than Farhan....
