Batman Begins

The other batmans are okay, but they are 2D and kindda give me a head ache. But this one was brilliant. You really get into depth with Bruce Wayne. You see what really made Batman and get some details that just make the whole story complete. Cool action scenes, cool effects... great cast. Definately deserves a thumbs up!

I really recommend the fans of the movie to see Memento if they havent already done so. Its also directed by Christopher Nolan and is a masterclass in storytelling!

One thing though that I didn't like was Christian Bale's voice as Batman. It sounded like he was trying to be too Brando. He was great as Bruce tho! The hotel scene was fantastic!

2 thumbs up! I am a fan of Christian Bale, and he did his best, a performance reminisant of Tobey Maguire Spiderman. Depth are in all personalities and the romance was not over bearing. Interesting villians.

i think burton and to some extent schumacher had a preoccupation with villains as opposed to the main hero in the previous batman films. So you got characters like joker, riddler, catwoman, the penguin...who were much more interesting than batman...and upstaged him in every frame. But the new installment makes sure Batman remains very much the centre of the film. No one upstages Bruce/batman in this film.

I thought the director makes it pretty clear in the movie that Bruce Wayne must overcome his need to avenge his father's death in order to become Bat-man. Bat-man's motive was anything but vengence according to the film, Batman Begins. This maybe an aberration from the comic book, but it's what the movie tries to portray.

I think Batman is the most multi-dimensional of the super heroes. If you have a natural super power (like superman does) you should use it, right? But Bruce Wayne goes through a trauma, guilt, emotional complex and all that. This movie captured all this very well. It showed what Batman is really made of. I also like how it blurs the line between Batman and Bruce Wayne... which one is he really?

If you're a fan of the comic book, there's no way you'd not enjoy the movie. It was fantabulous, and stayed true to what Batman really is...just a rich man who wants vengeance by fighting crime. Well, and also a detective too!

This movie has great acting by the entire cast. I was a little disappointed with the second half and felt as if it may have been rushed to cater to the masses. However, despite the flaws, this is the best movie I've seen this year.
