Batman Begins- So I finally got to see Batman Begins last night, and let me tell you- great movie and intro to what could be a pretty incredible franchise. One of the best intro to a superhero movies I've ever seen. They really did a good job of holding to the Batman stories of the comic books. You really get a feel for what drives him, who he really is (there's a good line about it in the movie), and the passion he has for doing what he does. Christian Bale is a good actor. He plays "Billionaire Bruce" Wayne really well- as a playboy, cocky, SOB. As Batman, he and Christopher Nolan (the director) do an awesome job of capturing what makes Batman so fearsome- the fear he strikes in his enemy. The fight scenes are realistic. Batman is a brawler. He's a bad-ass! It's a very suspensful, at times horrofic, movie. Some moments you actually hold your breath! It's one of those movies that you want to see every single part of and not miss anything (this is totally un-biased :) ). Again, I'm trying not to give away scenes.

The Batmobile is the shit! You really get to see it in action, the cool things it can do. You know it's a bad-ass machine. The car scenes are some of the best action scenes. They did a good job with the suit too- kept it simple. It's funny how he goes about getting it. Again, I don't want to give away the movie so I won't say more.

The script was pretty good. Only a few cheesy lines, some pretty funny lines, overall, the movie flowed pretty well. It was 2 hours but I could have easily watched more.

I liked it better than Spider Man 1 and X Men 1. Is it up there with Superman 1, probably. It makes you totally forget that they already did a Batman. I'll definitely watch it again and I can't wait to see the next one!
