Village Journals help
Resonate your identity with Naseeb journals. Express your opinions, share your thoughts, post your writings and connect with like minded people through the power of expression.

Bear in mind...

I joined this village only if we are really sincere to clear out any misconceptions through proper debates, and gain more understanding of each other so we are better able to tolerate differing views on critical issues...

If I'm to see any bashing, any disregards for other sect, or any personal animosities being projected in arguments, then I would see this as a place that promotes further misconceptions rather than clearing them out, and would certainly stay away.

I spoke in first person, so we all can attest to it as our own statement like an oath, so may this be the place for decent dialogues between Muslims brothers and sisters.

JazakAlllah,
Rizwan

Oh that's so cute! Reminds me of that Fazi-bear guy from the Muppet Babbies cartoon. Kermit was so cute as a baby.

Okay okay, just make a note of it if you are ever looking for a great coffee table book. (Crazy Wisdom, paperback.) You could always peruse my journal, or that of my evil-but-not twin: superman.. ;^)

Oh brother, you sound like my husband now. If I didn't know better I'd wonder if you were Moroccan. Lol... I'm going to forget if you tell me too many books. Besides I can't be reading too much at the present as I have classes again.

*hehe* Takes one to know one.. I have heard that the unaltered texts of the bible in Arabi are a bit more readable (in that they are beautifully and effectively presented) than the blanded "King James Version_of_what_you_ought_to_know_a nd_nothing_else.) But I have known of a personal experience a christian friend of mine had with Isa (AS) / Jesus.. He's like a sufi master, err... he _is_ a sufi master.. and a holy jester archetype. One has to read "Crazy Wisdom" by "Wes 'Scoop' Nisker" to realize the honor that the term implies. That's another book I recommend HIGHLY! To anyone, muslim or not, but especially to you princess.. *bow*

Ha, ha! Buzzaz, you crack me up. You're the first "cool" religious person I've met in a long time. I will look for this "Gospel of Barnabus" you are talking about. It sounds interesting. Much more interesting than reading the Bible, at least. No offense, but why didn't they write it like the Qu'ran is written? It's like reading wine or something.

Way to go T! Well said. I have actually read the "Gospel of Barnabus" (I have a copy!) which is a real depiction of the life of Jesus (AS) from a _live_ companion (and not people who learned of him later). It disagrees with (St) P's (trinitized) version of Christianity, and agrees with everything islam and authentic unitarian christianity espouses, and is something everyone in your shoes ought to read... (I meant monothiestic christianity, minus the trinity mod's that came around AD 200 via the Council of *****, led by emperor Augustine and his mother Helen.) I have occassioned to call myself a Monothestic Jeweish Muslim Unitarian Christian, since my own spiritual foundation espouses those teachings, in their unaltered form. And Jesus was a blast, yo! U know?

Welcome, Buzzaz! I think it's so great that you married someone despite her religious background. I am Christian and I married a Muslim not even thinking that it was really all that big of a deal. He is a great person and I love him and respect his views. That was all that mattered, well his treating me like a princess helped too. Lol...

Jazak Allaho Khairun akhi, for putting this village together and for declaring the manifesto above. I attest to it, it is a mission of my life in fact. I have married a sunni muslimah, myself hailing from a primarily shi'a background, literally because I wanted to - as we say in California - put my actions where my mouth is. I posted an article yesterday to villages like Islamic_History and Muhammad_PBUH, and desired for a village that was more focused upon a learning of the differences between these main branches of Islam and _just_ how close we are. I will post that article here, as it is more appropriate in this forum. Barak Allaho Fiqh, for all you have intended and begun well. Was Salaam.

I want to learn, but not convert. Can I just say that straight up? And most of what I believe isn't quite what most Christians believe so I'm sort-of a cross-trained Christuslim or something.
