Belly Dancing Symposium


Recently I have begun to think that the world has really gone crazy, this confirms it....I am visiting my old stompping grounds in Dallas, Texas (and my parents), and guess what I find being advertised, "a Belly Dancing Symposium",

A Freakin BELLY DANCING SYMPOSIUM!!!!!!!!!!! and the title of this hip gyrating event "Yaa Halaa Ya'll : What is the future of Belly Dancing in America?"

I am not trying to be hating on belly dancers () , and sure some of you are going to argue that this is a serious subject that requires attention after all this is single biggest export from the arabic world, but I have never heard of symposium for it......

I think the world has finally gone mad....or is it just me????

pfunkie, my dad and uncles usually get up and leave the room at weddings that have these belly dancers.

shohob, I flirted (no pun intended) with the idea of stopping by, and checking out the seminars, but I decided against it pretty quickly.......j/k

fascinating. It can't get more educational than this. I think we should fly down to texas and attend "YA HALLA Y'ALL" LOL how stupid is that.

If you don't wanna hate on belly dancers.. i will hate on em for you.. I hate em.. I think they are nasty and disgusting and belly dancings is one of the nastiest forms of "artistic expression" there is. I don't care what anyone says. It's too damn seductive astaghfurallah. I personally can't stand it. I've hated it since i was a lil kid and i still do. True our music makes you wanna hiz and stuff but damn i think there is a time and place for everything and I just abhore these dancers at cabarets and weddings. YES I AM A HATER :)
