Best Bollywood Channel on the Dish

So I live in a household of strictly GEO and PTV watchers...I often realize I want to watch a movie or have some bollywood entertainment at about 1:00 AM at night when all desi rental places are closed...so I'm trying to convince my family into getting atleast ONE bollywood/indian station..there are SOOO many out there (zee, B4U, sony, blah blah) so I wanted to know from you guys which one you think is the best. I'm looking for mostly good bollywood stuff like movies, bollywood updates, concerts, etc. I don't care too much for Indian dramas (Pakistani are so much better) nor do I care for the news in India much so please do give me some input. It would be highly appreciated. SHUKRIA!

Honestly, I am not very impressed by these desi channels. They barely have good movies on and the dramas are extremely lame. And all they show in these dramas are these annoying aunties, bhabis and boring men. Mainly they have too much music in the background and repeats of the scenes. So usually its a 10 mins story line stretched out to 30 mins.

While growing up, we never had these channels. My parents just got them in the last year or so, so when I am at home visiting them, I watch them time to time. But I like one drama cause it has this HOT guy in it...Jaise Jaise Koi Naheen...and the guy's name is Arman. He was in the movie Pardes and he is Miss. Agnihotie's son...

Trashy..? They are DISGUSTING!!! ITs so embarrassing when those come on and you're sitting with your Naani or Daadis hahaha

though i must say a lot of the videos are quite trashy...and i thought MTV was bad :)

B4U music is free these days! Channel 599 on the dish network...I'm addicted! :) hehe

Sony, Set max, B4U music, and B4U movies
im not a big fan of zee tv or zee cinema...

Hey Lubna :) I had the saaaame problem! For the longest time we only had Geo and PTV but now we have Sony and Zee. I tried B4U as well since I"m a bollywood lover (hehe obviously) but I was sooo disappointed, as they play nonsense c-grade films! I'm really enjoying Sony and recommend it. Better yet, try Sony MAX!

sony is really good and they play music videos for top paki singers on the volume. ali zafar is on pretty regularly. zee cinema seems pretty addicting as well, you might have to quit school and work if you get this bc they play current movies all the time.

SONY seems to run a lot more movies than Zee (which is home to some super addictable dramas:) also for anybody that likes the (american) idol format, sony is home to "Indian" Idol

i'd have to say B4U music, sahara one, or alpha etc

i dunno to be honest, ive had B4u b4 and it does tend to repeat a lot of its films over and over again e.g ive seen baghbaan abt 7 times now! *: then again mebbe its the same with the others );

thanks sofs...my parents are GEO addicts...and though GEO is kool and all...there's only so much Hina Baig one can take after a while :) (GEO news watchers would know what I'm talking about)...I had sahara one free for a month...it was aight...so far B4U or Zee Cineplex seem to be good options...

Wait Wait Lubna...before you get a DISH channel I have to tell you that these channels are destructive and addictive. I mean seriously they are soo addictive to parents in general. I mean my parents refuse to watch anything else but Sony even if there is nothing on they want to Sony. SO make sure you know what your getting into lol also DO NOT get SONY if you don't want to watch indian dramas...

I heard B4utv is good and so is Sahara One...
