eating slop at Timeout in the late night. yummy! thinking about it now makes me wanna ooltee but it certainly got the job done back then after a long night of what was it again, oh yeah, studying.
also, i can't seem to forget the time when my brother and his friends went to franklin street on halloween (Astaghfirallah brothers!) dressed up as terrorists, like they had just come from the taliban/al-qaeda training camps - u know, the ones in the desert with the monkey bars and fake trenches that they show in all those al-jazeera videos. anyways, these guys were jumping & dancing around dressed in the traditional saudi garb on franklin st. shouting "Allahuakbar" whille waving their fake rifles, rpg's and bazooka launchers.
let's see you guys try and get away with that these days buddy!

back in my day, there was no cosmic cantina...used to be a chinese takeout place...golden something or other...always wondered who would win, that place or asia cafe. another favorite: two slices of sicilian pizza and a drink at franklin st. pizza & pasta...$5.25...couldn't beat it. and when i wanted to fob it up, it was india palace. a friend of mine actually had a meal plan there. and here's proof that i'm old as hell now: i remember when wicked burrito OPENED.

miami subs used to be my nightly stop for suhoor in ramadan...back in my day (and this is a sign) all through Ramadan they used to have the superburger for 99c. also, who can forget the loveable pit preachers who'd tell me i was going to hell, $2 movies at the union, driving down 15-501 to spray "dook sux" in weedkiller on an east campus quad....no wait, i never did that, really...!

mmmm...good food in chapel hill: hector's fish sandwich and fries, miami subs, and a late night is never complete without time out (although time out definitely doesn't qualify for good food!!)

Best Sports Moment? Hands down the UNC-Miami Game last year on Homecoming Weekend. Technically not a memory from when I was in school, but still a favorite memory from Chapel Hill. Of Course, I wasn't lucky enough to be on Franklin Street a month ago. :)
