WHAT?!?! That Patti Smith duo at the 11/21 show was HORRIBLE. Patti was was tripping over words (aside from just plain tripping), and Bono didn't know how the handle the encore. Moreover, no self-respecting band should close a show with another band's song. ever.

As for best cover of a U2 song by another band, I heard Mary J Blige to a cover of One (not the Grammy performance, which was with U2), and it was awesome.
