BTW, Ms. L. it would be nice if you'd stop making up stuff about what is in or missing from the Quran. I've read various translations of the Quran (as well as the arabic text whenever possible given the limitations in my arabic literacy) several times and the USA and Terrorism were never mentioned. Where do you get this c r a p?!

Insha Allah Ms. L. will reconsider her response in light of the recent tragedy in Pakistan. Allah (SWT) is the only being capable of understanding "why" in these situations. It is the pettiness of people to attempt to attribute blame upon the victims of these disasters.

LondonGirl, read a newspaper/history book, love---the Brits are in Iraq, too (and have been doing as much dirt in every other region as the Americans for a far longer period of time). No power in the universe can change the Quran---Allah (SWT) has protected it from change as an enduring miracle. Natural disasters happen---its ridiculous to think that God sends a hurricane to kill both good and evil people when he could stop the heart of any man at will.

I went to India earlier this year, I loved it. The lifestyle there is so relaxed and easy-going. It's not depressing, stressful and filled with pressure the way it is in America. In America, people cannot wait till Friday, and then we dread the arrival of Monday, because we have to go back to work. In America, it seems that we're slaves to money and our jobs. Even very poor people in India seem happy, in a way. They don't have to deal with the whole rat race thing, and keeping up with the Jones's thing, which I believe is the reason that there is such a high rate of depression and anxiety, not to mention obesity, in America, compared to other countries.

As an American Muslim, I'd just like to note the grammatical precision of that term---American is the adjective which describes the primary referent term Muslim. I'm a Muslim who was born in a country called America---damned proud of both. Americans may not be the most awesome group of people to have ever lived---I think that distinction goes to the sahaba---but it doesn't stop half of the complainers from eventually requesting a visa, now does it? If your country is so wonderful---stay there, if its not---stay and fix it, if its someplace that you now like to visit but can't live in anymore because there's no Starbuck's, no free speech, no male-female interaction, no jobs, or no hope---then welcome to America but quitcherbitchin' ;)
