Biggest Beauty tip of all time

The biggest beauty advice is to feel good about yourself. It isn't always easy but learn to appreciate what God gave you. If your eyes are not as big as you like, learn to appreciate how exotic and deep set they are. If you have a strong nose, learn to love it because there are many amazing looking girls and actresses with strong noses that are awesome - one name that come to my mind is Helen Hunt. So, learn to be comfortable in your own skin, it will help in the long run, promise.

Hi T3mah, thank you for your comments, I agree with you 100%.

I quite like WOTW. Like saldaddy818 rightly points out, it was good for what it was.......they couldnt really move away too much from the original + Novel.....

Spielberg is a genious and takes the story about huge, rampaging alien invaders who want nothing more than to slaughter all humans... and turns it into story of a lazy dad who gradually learns to care about his children. That might sound like I'm puttiong down "War of the Worlds" and Spielberg - I'm not. There's a poignant, sweet, and topical "moral of the story" ... hidden underneath loads of destruction, and amazingly cool creatures/cgi.

99% of the movie works so amazingly well that you'll be more than happy to letgo or forgive the 1% that does not........you'll know the 1% when you actually watch the movie.

Love this JE. Always learn to appreciate what Allah gave you and take care of it. Meanings don?t do surgeries to "improve it". However, I find some people so concerned and unhappy with something about their look for example their nose so they choose to do surgery. That?s fine but wouldn?t you prefer to accept how you look and make the most out of what you have instead? I don?t think Tom Cruise will look the same if he changed his nose.

Rs81, Salams! Well said ...this topic needed some detailed clarification on this... and i think you got it down!!
As i said b4: Being accepting and comfortable with ourselves is a way of appreciating what Allah swt has blessed us with. BUt takin into account all things... Allah swt also says to take care of ourselves...so dat means excercisng, eating well, etc., etc..
Being mindful that we need to take care of our bodies is really important cuz only then can we truly take care of our minds and therefore be more mindful of Allah.

LOL, well i must say you guys crack me up....but jokes aside.............

Tanveer786, you say:

1) Where does it say that Cosmetic Surgery isn't allowed in Islam?

Islam denounces excess in beautifying oneself to the extent of altering one's physical features as Allah created them. The Qur'an considers such alterations as inspired by Satan, who ? ...will command them (his devotees) to change what Allah has created...? (An-Nisa?: 119)

2) So what, are you going to stop doing your nails, cutting/styling your hair, putting on heels to lie about your height, and putting on makeup? I mean let's get real here ladies (and a few gents).

Did you, all this time, believe, that - doing your nails, cutting/styling your hair, putting on heels, putting on makeup etc is SURGERY - no its not.....

3) Ruby_S you say, agreed cosmetic surgery is haram! unless of course you're damn ugly...then please do us all a favour and fix your face!...just kiddin...ugly people have rights too!

Well, you're not completely off the point.....It may happen that a person has an unusual physical defect, which attracts the attention of others to the point of inflicting on him physical and psychological pain every time he meets people. In this case, he may treat the defect and thus alleviate the embarrassment that makes his life miserable. Allah, the Most Merciful, has imposed no hardship on us in religion....

The second kind is cosmetic surgery that is normally used to change the Creation of Allah in an attempt to look more beautiful such as breast enlargement or reduction, face-lifts, spacing between teeth (just for beautification), reducing the size of lips and nose. This kind of surgery is not permitted in Islam because they alter the Creation of Allah. Allah Almighty says: "And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle's ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest." (An-Nisaa': 119)
:)
Just thought i'ld share with you...........

PS - Mcrimsonred, once again well said, i thought i'll expand on it, what do you think babe? x x

tanveer786, Allah swt says never to change what He swt created... so why not just accept ourselves for who we are. plain and simple. :)
