Thanks everyone who responded. I didn't think it had to do with the oil..my only main concern is that i hope i dont need a valve job.. i hear they're hella expensvie for ducatis. also, after u ask ur friends, let me know please. THANKS ALOT!

monsters have some epa thingy on them that is tricky when it comes to starting, read the owners manual, it'll tell you how to start them properly. my bro's and my nephews monsters do this thingy as well, if its the same thingy i'm thinking of.

My bike was randomly turning off when I would start it too. Turns out that the choke was in the wrong direction. If there is smoke coming out the back and it turns off as you rev in first gear it might be the choke.

that is a common flaw in monsters. it happend with couple of my friends i dont remember the solution at the moment(i am gonna ask em) but it has nothing to do with oil.
