I am having trouble getting people to take the stuff that my organisation has collected for earthquake relief.
(24 pallets)...PIA has said NO.
any suggestions?
SORRY for taking so long to respond.
thanks for all the ideas...the container arrived thursday afternoon (dec 1) courtesy Esam Choudhry from the GLOBAL COUNCIL of PAKISTAN. we're loading it in the morning and it will be heading for the ports in the afternoon. At least one media outlet (city tv) in vancouver wil be airing it on the 6 o'clock news.
We have been profiled twice on the local news without success. At this point nobody in TO are willing to accept this delivery but we have new hope, there is an organisation in San Fran that may be able to help - going to contact them on monday - wish us luck!
and thanks for your ideas.
UAE..?BA..? haven't returned our calls, Gulf will take it for sure - my problem is getting them from Vancouver to London (or other airport) where these airlines can pick up.
PIA says don't bother sending to them as thier warehouse is full (understandable but frustrating).
Air Canada said it would take them from Vancouver to Toronto but we are on our own from there - they are not willing to go all the way to islamabad...or London for that matter.
