I couldn't believe my eyes when I first read about the trial of an Afghani for converting from Islam to Christianity in Afghanistan. I find it outrageous and totally wrong to even judge him. It is his life. God will judge him. It is not up to humans to play God and decide whether he is worthy to live or not. I think those who should be trialed are the corrupt criminals that are still ruling the country. That's not the Islam I practice. It is a completely different religion from mine and I reject the Islam practiced in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and all the extremists who consider themselves God's messengers with a mission. I actually see myself closer to the christians and the jews of the western world who greeted my family with open arms and educated me and my sisters when my own country couldn't... and the rich gulf countries just didn't care. I agree with him for converting to christianity. I would have done the same if I was living among those lunetics in Afghanistan. I would even have converted to Judaism. Islam is a religion of tolerance. Islam braces all the hebraic prophets and the christian ones. We believe in the love and peaceful message of Jesus, son of Mary. I think that's what these countries need right now. Some love. They need to love, tolerate and respect eachother. I mean this event adds up to the destruction of scultptures of Boudha in the mountains of Afghanistan. It polarises moderate muslims and non muslim from these people.
