this is exactly what we're going through too. there is tension in the subway...all these police, dogs, and soldiers. people here are talking about the london bombings nonstop and asking what's next. it's frightening. very frightening...but i can imagine how bad it must feel too for the people living under occupation in Iraq and Afghansitan. my God what a terrible situation Bush and Blair and fundos have created for people in europe, america, and the middle east!!

im concerned that this may start an alarming new trend in london/uk as the whole mentality/hatred of blair/the west is very overt now amongst the hijaabi/bearded types,.....yes generalisation i know but just go to regents park mosque on a sat/sunday and hear it for yrself...scary

I should have mentioned, that website was set up by me. 100% of all profits go to charity (British Red Cross - The London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund). Thanks for the support LP.

When it involves your city, indeed you feel it more. When you could have been involved, you have more reasons to be passionate about issues like this. I passed thru four of those tube/train stations less than an hour before the blast happened last Thursday on my way to work.

There can be no sympathy for the perpetrators, sympathy must go to the victims, and prayers must be said for the families of the victims and those of us who will now be victims of the backlash (Muslims).

How the Muslim Communities and leaders respond without stooping, strutting or sweltering is crucial. Let's not lose morals or faith. Any ideas for Crisis Management in a situation like this?

whoever did the bombings-- let it be the IRA or Al Qaida or even the Basta, fuckk them!!! London is a great city and we shall never be defeated... we're a grand city and at that, a wonderful capital of culture and art.

Glad to know you Londoners are okay. Such a tragic day.

We can never tire in seeking to win the war of ideas to crush the ideological sources of such violence.

hmmm... Liverpool St station and all it's lines were frequented by me. I am more angry than anything else. Forget what the West thinks of such people who did this - it's what we should think and resultingly do to such lower-than-lowlifes. BTW, a 20yo asian-muslim girl is still missing en'route to work in one of the tube station blasts. sigh . . .

Aahat is right but the reason why people wanted to immigrate to England was to move away from all this and live in a place where this stuff does not happen. Again we sould be greatful for the life we do have.

it took me back to 9/11 too. and even though i was here in london, i felt as if i was there in new york. its the same sort of numb feeling. i too didn't go into the office today...

we will never get used to the anxiety of such attacks. i only wish world leaders would take note and quit the bravado. these politicans are safe in their bunkers and security patrols, but average people in london, newyork, madrid, iraq, palestine, afghanistan, have to die...the pics on TV are horrible, i can't imagine (except by comparison to 911) how terrible u guys feel...

sorry to say but this reminds me of 911. all the pictures of dazed people walking for miles to get home. people had soot on their faces and were in shock. there were lines and lines of people trying to hail cabs or get home. people crying in the street and asking 'why? why? why?'.

It made me sick to the stomach... Hope you guys are all OK. None of my lot went to the City centre today, so mashallah they are fine. The scary thing is that the Euston / Russell Square bus route is the one that I normally used when I was at uni :(

rereading my post, I sound evil about the girl, but I couldn't understand her behaviour. Maybe its her way of coping....who knows. Good night, and I gope everyone is safe.
