ive done it via email and phone. i guess it all depends on how much you care about them and if you really want to stay friends. i have done it in person too, but that was only because we really cared for each other.

when i broke up with my ex, i told him in person. it took a lot of courage but i still remember the day clearly now!

i did have to break one over the phone though but thats cos it was long distance and it could have been another 6 months before i saw him again!

Missy if the guy started crying me a river, I would just tell him to pull himself together, take it like a man and stop being a wuss, oh and that he'll find someone soon...you have to polish up their ego a bit..it helps them regain confidence..Usually works..Although if he decides to hate me after that is entirely his choice..no great loss of mine!.. haha
