I'll assume that we're excluding Egypt from Africa again despite the fact the the separation of land was only completed with the building of the canal in the 20th century.
We must also then assume, that the author of the first statement is unfamiliar with the ruins of ancient zambabwe www.travelvideostore.com), civilizations that date back to man's initial use of metal www.sciencedaily.com), and never even heard a rumor about Mansa Musa and the Sohghai empire www.princetonol.com). What a pity for them.
Maybe he should take a trip the Vatican Museum and take a peek at the panels on the right middle wall of the Sistene Chappel, where clear as day there is a depiction of high status Africans mingled with low status Europeans (status is interpreted from the cut and style depicted in their clothing), read Shakespeare, or just open his eyes and look around. The survival of our people despite all efforts to the contrary is a testament to the strength and adaptibility of our ancestors, throughout the diaspora.
I have read a few articles on Black people recently depicting us as genetically weak and inferior. If this is not true, how about the following allegations:
- there wasn't in history an African Civilization that was strong and propsperous, hence there has never been an excavation of any ancient civilisation in Africa.
- No single black African country has an economy and social infrastructure better that when it was colonised, things always go bad whenever and wherever blacks took control of their government.
There are just a few for us to chew on. Please Note, I don't believe in these statements, but these are some of their comments. How do we counteract these?
