Call Centers in Pakistan.


I always wonder at the pace in which companies are opening call centers in pakistan. Is there anyone who can give me rough estimate of call center investment for say like 100 agents/seat in karachi. I am planning to move to Pakistan and thinking about either working in call centers (I have experience with Yahoo and SBC for 3 years) or get people to co-invest and start up a call center.

Also how could one get some knowledge about call centers in PAKISTAN. Any forums?? Sites??

Which do you think is more stable and profitable to set up overseas. A call center that deals with customer complaints and orders or a call center that deals with high level technical support issues?

I get the idea there are a lot of techies in pakistan who dont have work. So maybe there is some opportunity there.

I myself would like to get some more info. I have over 6 years experience in setting up, running, and managing call centers in US. I would like to invest and explore the same idea back home.
