Can you fall out of love??

Can you fall out of love?? That is a question that I feel obligated to answer... See I don't think that it is possible to "Fall out of Love." It seems wrong if you Fall into Love. I suppose you must be sure of who you fall into love with so that in the long run you don't hurt yourself or your "partner"... not only to be fair to yourself but also to the other person. Love hurts only when you make it hurt. Pain is only the result of love some of the time. Love is not pain. So, "Can you fall out of love?" No. I think I am still in love very much so with ex girlfriend, my feelings for her have not changed, and I am not sure they ever will...

"I dropped a tear in the ocean. Whenever they find it, I will stop loving you."

yes, I think it is possible to "fall out of love". I did have love and feelings of love for my future finacee...recent family issues and events and him and I disagreements...it has been tough but all is still good...although that caused the love in my heart for him to sink and I fell out of love with him. so I say it is very possible if you fall into love you can also fall out of love. love is a gift from Allah, and if that love is true love and good love...the love does not go away as you said you're still in love with your ex-girlfriend.

Yes you can fall out of love. Love is not this magical feeling that just comes over us all of a sudden and we have no had in it at all. It is with the use of our minds that we fall in love, and with our mind we can just as easily fall out of it. I understand if you were with someone you truly cared about and things didnt work out but you really wanted them to, yes you will always care about that person. But it is a different story if you were in love with someone and one maybe for some reason you decided you shouldnt be with them anymore, if for example they dont treat you right etc... then you can definetly make yourself fall out of love with them. Ihate it when I hear girls say, I know he is cheating on me, but I cant leave him, I love him...that just doesnt make sense. Anyway, I am ramblinb heh, sorry guys!

I think if you really loved that person, you can never completely fall out of love with him/her. As they say, "time will heal your pain" that is very true. I think, as time passes, you need to move forward with your life. You need to surround your self with good people.Peole who care about you, people who make your happy. Make new memories. There is nothing wrong with thinking about your past love, just think about the good time you have had with him/her. There is a reason why you are still not with him/her. It takes two poeple to have a relationship. Once you find someone new, you will love him/her differently than your ex.

Once in a while the gift of love comes to us in full blossom. If love chooses to leave, just set it free. It will surely come back to you, it it's meant for you. Just be happy that it has come to live with you for a while... The best thing is to start meeting other people and finding an alternate. STOP thinking about her... STOP calling her... get on with your life... there is no point in getting hurt... start over... after all, you only live once...

alicia keys had it right and so does snake girl...being in love is a state of mind not a contract. you change your perception all the time...and since love is a feeling..not able to be measured or identified or anything like that...it can do whatever you perceive it to be doing...you're in love? great...you're out of love? perhaps great...you still love your ex? well you havent stop thinking about her that way...and sadly, you cant move on until you do...sigh...i hope i am not falling in love...what a disaster that would be...damn that cute man!
