celtics trade davis for Szczerbiak

Being a celtics fan, I am a little annoyed by this trade. They traded a younger, more active, and better defender in davis to an older, injury prone, and not-much-better-on-offense player in Szczerbiak.

yes the celts got rid of a big contract in blount, and are now able to develop Al Jefferson and Kedrick perkins. But they got rid of a player who will for sure become a force in the NBA.

thoughts??

hear hear. i second your post.

Wally and KG didnt get along ... Ricky isnt a winner. The trade was good for both teams from a chemistry standpoint. On the court, there wont be much difference.

Ricky is athletic and a solid player. But hes way too inconsistent. Wally will be a poor man's Kyly Korver in a couple years .. mark it.

having had years of pain as a t-wolves fan, the trade i agree accomplished nothing. here they have a star in garnett and instead of adding a piece, they ship one away. i actually am a sczcerbiak fan, he can shoot a high percentage....almost at the level of our dunk-only players while shooting mostly mid-range and occassionally threes. the one positive for the celtics is that he's a good guy that will likely never disrupt the team. he'll still give 20 pts a game...he was an all-star a few years back....

trading garbage for garbage

Completely pointless trade. Neither team is improved. Like you said, Perkins and Jefferson can get more playing time now that Blount is gone. Kandi-Man should get zero minutes. Perkins looks to be very solid. Great defensive presence and rebounder.

Garnett at this point should asked to be traded. My fellow South Carolina native deserves better. McHale is an imbicile. If there is no Paul Pierce in the deal, the deal should never have been made.

i agree with u, wally is garbage typical white trash. Ricky Davis was much better. Bad move on the part of the celtics
