Challah French Toast w/ Cinnamon Cream Cheese Sauce
This is a really great brunch item and its sooooo easy to make. It's just like a regular french toast recipe but you use Challah bread instead of regular bread. Brioche is also a great substitute.
Beat 4 eggs and three tablespoons of heavy whipping cream for two minutes. It is important to do it so long to make the toast fluffy. Sprinkle cinnamon in the egg mixture (or you can wait and sprinkle it directly on the toast)
Dip the Brioche or Challah into the egg mixture making sure to coat both sides of the bread.
Cook on medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.
Take one package of cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 tbsp of sourcream, and 3 tsp of cinnamon and mix them with an electric hand mixture until it becomes creamy and viscous. You may adjust the recipe to taste. Serve the cream cheese in small dipping bowls with the toast. Makes a great alternative to syrup.
