Choosing a new FPS

First Person shooters are the mainstay of the PC-Gaming industry, not even consoles can properly compete with the perfect pairing of the mouse and keyboard. Recently I've been trying to pick out a new FPS to play, but can't come to a conclusion. Here are my choices.
=========================
Half-Life 2: *****
Despite being over a year old, HL2 pair incredibly fun Single-Player, with a seemingly never-ending slew of multi player mayhem. From Counter-Strike to Day of Defeat. The multi player keeps HL2 the strongest of competitors.

FEAR: *****
With an incredible new Physics engine, action sequences fit for Face-Off, and a horror storyline in the style of The Ring, FEAR is the Best new FPS to come out this year. The gameplay is superb and disgustingly stylish, and the effects are soo impressive you'll melt your eyes right out of their sockets. The downside of the game is that it seems to lack staying power, since after the single-player is over, all that is left is a fairly spartan multi-player system.

Battlefield 2: *****
Lacking a Single-Player game entirely, BF2 doesn't properly fit into the FPS like the others do. Despite this, BF2 has incredible staying power because of its huge-online gameplay and world-ranking system. Fast-Paced warfare, paired with incredible graphics and teamplay make this a hard to beat competitor.

Quake IV: ****
A recent entry to this year's FPS round-up, Quake is the newest chapter of ID Software's Flagship FPS franchise. Quake comes with an action-packed Single-player mode, and the standard slew of multi-player choices. Though the game on a whole isn't up to par with other FPSs of this year, the return of this veteran series definitely makes this a must play.

Doom 3: ****
Doom's last installment had been back in the mid-90s, and now returns for a major face-lift. A new graphics engine paired with great physics makes this game a strong competitor. The storyline for the game is good, but the overall singe-player experience lacks the thrills and chills that should be expected from the Doom series. Multiplay is also standard with simple modes that leave much desired. The game still deserves to be played due to its visual/physical strengths, and because of its reputation of being Doom.
