COLDPLAY X& Y
I know this isn't Alt-Rock, but I'm putting on here anyways. The review of Coldplay's new album:
After hearing the album all the way through the first time, there wasn't much about it that was spectacular, and I couldn't remember any song besides "Speed of Sound", and that's because it's being played on the radio 24/7. I then went on RS, and saw it only got 3 stars, and that sorta disappointed me because Parachutes, and Rush o' Blood were so damn good. I still prefer Parachutes over Rush. This new album however does not live up to either one, but it does have it's memorable moments. Listen to "Fix You", "Square One", and "Talk" about 3 times, and you'll totally see why Coldplay is still an awesome band. "Swallowed in the Sea" is a magnificiently real song about love, and isn't overly glorified like almost all other rock love songs. In the end though, this album will be for die hard Coldplay fans, and probably won't be a hot item like Rush.
