Comment that shocked me!
I was in another JE a few days ago when the topic of a certain sect came up and how they worship graves. They say they dont worship graves but prostrate infront of it. So I posted some info on it and I got this ignorant comment, I would like to share it.
what I said:
"well you have oyur own kind to thank for that....When I see somone doing sajjood in front of a grave, I Call it worship."
What sister said:
"worship my @$$" www.answering-ansar.org
What I said:
"Tawassul is an issue I just studied under shaykh yasir qadhi. From the authentic texts we used and the books I have at home, I did not see any of those related in them by the Imams stated? I will check the books again inshallah, but from the texts I have of them regarding aqeedah non of them permitted asking The Prophet (S) for such and such which is considered shirk, from my understanding in class: to ask Rasulullah (S) to ask Allah SWT is not shirk but a bida'a becuase Rasulullah (S) never had done in it in his life time nor did that sahabas. Tawassul is permitted though people that are living. There is hadith of Rasulullah (S) which state: "do not make my grave a place of worship and do not make it a place of eid" (related my Imam Malik). To clearify the word eid here is not the same as the eid meaning celebration, this word comes form the word adaa which means a frequent place of visiting). The prophet (S) has also said that there are only 3 places that one recieves blessings for when he travels and these places are the haramain (makkah and medinah) and Masjid Al Aqsa. By the tawassul has nothing to do with going and sitting by the grave, and porstrating infront of it. This is clear shirk, becuase We do no prostrate infront of any being other than Allah SWT."
What a brother said (3 seperate comments):
"aim786 so we meet again in yet another JE. tee he he :P"
"I think aim786 is shrek's old brother, aim786 is shirk tee he he :D"
"here you go again with all your fake hadith. You think just because you took some class, you know everything now. Well your teacher is a fool and so are your parents for raising you so closemindedly. what is this prostrating in front of a grave which you speak of? maybe people put their head down to mourn the death of the person buried in the grave."
What I said (reply to the brother):
"first off to mourn more then 3 days is not allowed, secondly, according to subject of Uloohiyyah (acts of worhip) prostration is a form of humbling ones self, and it should only be done to Allah SWT. The prophet (s) never allowed ANY type of prostration at a grave site. The teacher I studied under is MUCH more credible than you, I would say. He has his masters in Aqeedah from Madinah Univ. and his working his PHD. Please be aware of the hadith qudsi: "Whoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I should be at war with him." (muslim and bukhari). Why is EVERYTIME you post something, there is nothing related to the Quran and Sunnah to support your belief?"
So now its okay to prostrate infont of graves! LOL, I mean come on, I think anyone would understand that its wrong. I really wish people spent time studying the deen, I know when I do study, I find my self being corrected all the time. This topic is covered any basic aqeedah book or class. Something every Muslims should perfect their understanding in it, because it is our creed. Without it, we do not have an understanding of what it means to be a Muslim. Inshallah we can all study it more so we can understand what it means to be a Muslim and all that comes with the title.
I just want you all to know I took out the persons identity so it wont be back biting incase you are wondering.
