Because I'm counting tablets in Whitechapel and trying to learn Bangali to improve my conversational skills with the elderly public. And because Begsy is bangali, I'm trying to practise my Bengali on her.
'Etka tablet dui bar'.
But because you have the entire brown kind represented in the pharmacy, I end up saying:
'Kiddha soniye, aap theek hain? ekta tablet dui baar che, yeah?
My favourite word, so far, is 'duita'.
Do you know what the crazy thing is, so many of the words are so similar to Hindi/Urdu and are made different due to regional differences or substitution of one word with another.
Another, even more crazy thing, is 76 year olds coming to get maximum strength viagra. But that's another story for another time.
